1.2 Warning and Notice
Chassis Dimension: The Thermaltake View 270 TG ARGB chassis measures 456mm (height) x 230mm (width) x 454mm (depth). A diagram illustrates these dimensions.
CPU Cooler Max Height: The maximum supported CPU cooler height is 180mm. A diagram shows the internal clearance for the CPU cooler.
Motherboard Compatibility: This chassis supports Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboards. E-ATX motherboards are supported up to 330.2mm wide without a side fan. A diagram illustrates the compatible motherboard sizes within the chassis.
VGA Max Length: The maximum supported VGA card length is 420mm. A diagram shows the internal clearance for the VGA card.
PSU Max Length: The maximum supported PSU length is 220mm. A diagram illustrates the PSU installation area and clearance.
Chapter 2. Installation Guide
2.0 Remove Panels
To remove the side panels: First, gently pull the top tempered glass panel upwards (1). Then, slide the rear tempered glass panel backward to detach it (2). Finally, open the metal side panel by swinging it outwards from the front (3).
2.1 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
Install the PSU by sliding it into the designated compartment at the bottom rear of the chassis. Secure it with 4 screws (Stand #6-32 x 6mm).
2.2 Motherboard Installation
Place the motherboard into the chassis, aligning it with the stand-offs. Secure the motherboard using 9 screws (Screw M3 x 5mm). Use the provided stand-off tool for easier installation of motherboard stand-offs if needed.
2.3 3.5" & 2.5" HDD Installation
For 3.5" HDDs: Slide the 3.5" HDD into the drive bay tray (A) and secure it with 4 screws (Screw #6-32 x 5mm). Then, slide the tray back into the chassis.
For 2.5" SSDs/HDDs: Mount the 2.5" SSD/HDD onto the drive bay tray (A) or directly onto the chassis mounting points (B) and secure it with 4 screws (Screw M3 x 5mm). Then, slide the tray back into the chassis or secure the drive directly.
2.4 VGA Card Installation
Insert the VGA card into the appropriate PCIe slot on the motherboard. Secure the VGA card to the chassis with 2 screws.
2.5 Air Cooling Installation
The chassis supports various fan configurations:
- Top: Supports 2 x 140mm fans or 3 x 120mm fans.
- Rear: Supports 1 x 140mm fan or 1 x 120mm fan.
- M/B Side: Supports 2 x 120mm fans.
- Power Cover: Supports 3 x 120mm fans.
Install fans in the desired locations, securing them with appropriate screws (Screw #6-32 x 28mm).
2.6 AIO Liquid Cooling Installation
The chassis supports AIO liquid cooling radiators:
- Top: Supports up to a 360mm radiator.
- Rear: Supports up to a 120mm radiator.
Mount the radiator and fans to the designated areas, ensuring proper airflow and tube routing.
2.7 I/O Connection
Connect the front panel I/O cables to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. These include:
- USB 3.2 (Gen 2) Type-C connector
- USB 3.0 connectors (x2)
- HD Audio connector
- Front panel header for Power SW, Power LED, Reset SW, and HDD LED. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific pin assignments.

2.8 Remove Filters
The chassis features removable dust filters for easy cleaning. Filters are located at the Top, Front, and Bottom of the chassis. Gently pull or slide them out for maintenance.
2.9 ARGB Control Instruction - How to connect MB
To control the ARGB lighting, connect the ARGB cable from the chassis to the appropriate addressable RGB header on your motherboard. Common headers include:
- ASUS/ASRock/BIOSTAR: Aura Addressable Strip Header (+5V D G)
- MSI: JRGB-strip Header (+5V D G)
- GIGABYTE: AOURS RGB Fusion with Digital LEDs (VDG)
Ensure correct pin alignment to avoid damage. Refer to your motherboard manual for exact header locations and pin configurations.
