READ BEFORE USE

This adapter is designed to enable wireless Android Auto functionality using Android smartphones on factory multimedia systems equipped with integrated wired Android Auto.

Ports and Buttons

The device features a Type-C Power Port and a Smart Button.

Smart Button Functions:

• Press once during operation: Disconnect the currently connected smartphone.
• Press and hold for 3 seconds then release: Enter update mode.
• Press and hold for more than 15 seconds: Restore factory settings, all connection history will be cleared.

Connection Diagram

The Ottocast A2AIR Pro adapter connects to your vehicle's USB port. It supports both USB-A and USB-C connections, depending on your car's available ports.

Connection Steps:

1. Connect one end of the provided USB cable (Type-C to A or Type-C to C) to the Type-C power port on the A2AIR Pro adapter.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB port (USB-A or USB-C) in your vehicle.
3. Ensure the adapter is connected to the USB port that supports Android Auto in your vehicle.

Wireless Android Auto Setup

1. Install Android Auto on your smartphone, then activate [Android Auto Wireless] in the Android Auto APP settings.
2. Connect your smartphone to the vehicle's Bluetooth.
3. Connect the adapter to the vehicle's USB port that supports Android Auto.
4. Then connect the smartphone to the adapter's Bluetooth: [OTTO-xxxx]. After a few seconds, it will connect to Android Auto wirelessly.

Firmware Update

1. If you are already connected to Android Auto wirelessly, first disable Bluetooth and then forget the Wi-Fi network.
2. When powered on, press and hold the button for 3 seconds then release. The LED indicator will turn green after 1-2 seconds.
3. Access Wi-Fi >> Advanced Settings >> Wi-Fi Direct on your smartphone, tap [OTTO-xxxx] and ensure it is connected.
4. Enter 192.168.1.101 in your smartphone's browser, then tap "Update". A screen will show "Online Update" and "New version is available" with an "Update" button.

How to Report a Problem

In case of any problems during adapter use, the issue can be reported directly online by sending a screenshot of the feedback to the email address: support@ottocast.com. Ottocast will resolve the problem as soon as possible.

To report a problem, you can use a form similar to the following, providing details about your vehicle and the issue:

Alternatively, proceed by following steps 1 to 3 in the [Firmware Update] section on the previous page, then re-enter 192.168.1.101 in the browser to submit the problem.
