IKEA Katowice Store and Parking Regulations, Complaint Submission, and Special Guarantee Rules for Sole Proprietors (JDG)
I. General Provisions
These regulations define the rules for using the IKEA store in Katowice, including the external warehouse (hereinafter referred to as the "Store"), the parking area, and internal roads (hereinafter referred to as the "Parking"). They also cover complaint submission procedures and special guarantee rules for sole proprietors (JDG), as defined in section IV.4 of these Regulations.
The Store and Parking are private areas managed by IKEA Retail Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Janki, Plac Szwedzki 3, 05-090 Raszyn. The company has a share capital of PLN 20,000,000.00 and is registered in the National Court Register by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw, XIV Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000091681, REGON: 010577890, NIP: 527 010 33 85 (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").
II. Rules for Using the Store and Parking
During the Store's opening hours, the following are permitted:
- Customers may be present on the Store and Parking premises (hereinafter referred to as "Client").
- Clients may park their vehicles free of charge in the Parking area.
The following are prohibited on the Store and Parking premises:
- Conducting advertising, promotional, commercial, or service activities without prior written consent from the Store Management.
- Littering, polluting, or vandalizing the Store and Parking.
- Parking broken, damaged vehicles, or vehicles transporting hazardous materials.
- Repairing, cleaning vehicles, or changing vehicle fluids (including coolant, fuel, oil).
- Any actions that may endanger the safety of people or property.
- Any actions that disrupt the use of the Store or Parking by Clients.
- Any other actions that are contrary to Polish law.
- Bringing and possessing dangerous items, explosives, and any type of weapons, including firearms and bladed weapons, regardless of their form, as well as ammunition. This does not apply to authorized personnel on duty (e.g., police and other services) or those performing professional duties requiring the carrying of weapons (e.g., security personnel, escorts).
IKEA permits the presence of animals on the Store premises under the following conditions (excluding the IKEA Restaurant and other IKEA catering points):
- Animals are understood as domestic animals as defined by Article 4, point 17 of the Act of August 21, 1997, on Animal Protection (consolidated text in the Journal of Laws No. 111, item 724, as amended).
- Animals must be accompanied and supervised by their adult guardians.
- Animals must have valid mandatory vaccinations depending on their species. For dogs, this includes a valid rabies vaccination as required by the Act on Animal Health Protection and Combating Animal Infectious Diseases, Article 56.
- Animal guardians are obliged to maintain constant and effective supervision of their animals. If animals leave waste on the IKEA store premises, guardians must immediately clean it up and inform store employees. Guardians must make every effort to ensure that their animals are as unobtrusive as possible to others and do not litter the IKEA store premises or pose a threat to other Clients.
- Animal guardians bear full responsibility for their animals' behavior and any damages they may cause in the IKEA store.
- Animals that behave disruptively, are aggressive, or may pose a threat to others are not permitted on the IKEA store premises.
- Animals may only be brought in on a leash or in specially designed carriers, and dogs must also wear a muzzle. IKEA does not provide carriers or muzzles required for entry.
- Leaving animals unattended within the IKEA store is prohibited.
- It is prohibited to use IKEA shopping carts and bags for transporting animals on the store premises and beyond.
- IKEA does not permit animals in the IKEA Restaurant and IKEA catering points. This prohibition applies to the entire area of the IKEA Restaurant and other IKEA catering points, including seating areas and lounges. An exception is made for guide dogs, which persons with disabilities may bring into and move around the entire IKEA store.
- Violation of these Regulations may result in the Client being asked to leave the store with their animal, as well as other legal consequences as defined by relevant legal provisions, including the Civil Code and the Code of Misdemeanors.
Individuals are prohibited from being on the Store and Parking premises if they:
- Are perpetrators of property theft or other criminal offenses, previously apprehended on the Store or Parking premises in the act.
- Violate the law or disturb public order.
- Pose a threat to other people or property.
- Behave disruptively towards other people or the surroundings.
- Are visibly under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances.
III. Specific Parking Regulations
- The Parking is unsupervised. Vehicles may only be left for the duration of a visit to the Store and only in designated parking spaces. Parking on marked lines is prohibited.
- Leaving a vehicle in the Parking does not constitute a storage agreement within the meaning of Article 835 of the Civil Code.
- The provisions of the Road Traffic Act (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 110) apply to the Parking, access roads, and internal roads. Parking users are obliged to comply with the Road Traffic Act, all road signs, horizontal and vertical markings used in the Parking, and traffic organization rules.
- Parking vehicles in the Parking during the Store's opening hours is free of charge.
- Parking vehicles in the Parking after the Store's opening hours is prohibited.
- In case of parking vehicles in the Parking after the Store's opening hours or using the Parking in a manner that violates the Regulations, the vehicle owner or the person who left the vehicle in the Parking will be charged a fee for unauthorized parking at a rate of PLN 50 per hour.
- In addition to the right to charge the above fees, leaving a vehicle in the Parking after the Store's opening hours or using the Parking in a manner that violates the Regulations entitles the Company to remove (tow) the vehicle from the Parking at the owner's expense.

- For matters related to vehicle towing, please contact the persons indicated in section V.4 of the Regulations.
IV. Complaints and Limitation of Warranty Rights for Sole Proprietors (JDG)
- All complaints should be submitted:
- Directly at the relevant IKEA Customer Service Department in writing.
- By mail to the IKEA store address (Head of Customer Service).
- By phone to the IKEA Domolinii phone number.
- Via the complaint form available on the IKEA Complaints website.
- Via the IKEA Chat available on the "Contact Us" page.
- When submitting a complaint, the Client should provide the following information: the Client's first and last name or company name, the reason for the complaint, the order number and date of order fulfillment (if available), the Client's address, and proof of purchase of the goods (if available).
- Complaints will be processed within 14 days of receipt by IKEA.
- For a Client who is a natural person who has entered into an agreement with IKEA directly related to their economic activity ("JDG"), where the content of the agreement indicates that it does not have a professional character for them, resulting in particular from the subject of their economic activity, made available on the basis of regulations on the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity, Article 5615 of the Civil Code does not apply.
V. Final Provisions
- Persons responsible for the security of the Store and Parking are authorized to monitor compliance with the Regulations. They may ask individuals violating the Regulations, or behaving in a manner inconsistent with generally accepted principles of social coexistence, to leave the Store or Parking premises. This particularly applies to behavior that may disturb the peace of Clients and visitors.
- Prices of goods displayed at the point of sale are valid only within the scope of the specified sales channel.
- Clients using the Store and Parking are obliged to familiarize themselves with the Regulations.
- Comments regarding the use of the Store and Parking can be reported to the Customer Service Department of the IKEA store in Katowice or by phone at (22) 275 00 00.
- The Regulations are available on information boards located at the Parking entrances and at the Store entrance, as well as on the website: https://www.ikea.com/pl/pl/stores/katowice/
- The Company is authorized to make changes to the Regulations. Changes to the Regulations will not affect the rights acquired by the Client before the changes come into effect.
- The Regulations are effective from June 13, 2025.
