Cost-Effective Predictive Maintenance

The Trolex TX9131 Programmable Trip Amplifier offers a solution for predictive maintenance with its dual set point relays and optional analogue repeater output signal. It is compatible with standard sensor signals including 0-4...2V, 4...20mA, and PT100. The unit features a microprocessor-based, menu-operated mode selection for all functions, allowing for easy configuration of scale, units, offset, set points, time delays, relay phase, latching, and hysteresis. An LCD display provides information on input signal status and operating modes. The amplifier offers application flexibility with various mounting formats, including front of panel, DIN rail, or 19" rack mounting. It is also certified intrinsically for underground mining.

Choice of Input Signals

TX9131 Current Signals

Supports 2-wire or 3-wire process signals. The fully floating differential input allows multiple units to be connected in series on the same loop, providing high noise immunity. Available signals include 0-20mA and 4-20mA.

TX9132 Voltage Signals

Features a differential input that enables long signal lines with minimal signal loss. Supports 0.4-2V signals.

TX9134 PT100 Input

This model is discontinued. It was designed for platinum resistance temperature sensors (DIN43760, BS1904) and supported ranges of -50°C to 200°C and -50°C to 400°C.

TX9136 Bridge Input

Designed for balanced four arm bridge input, suitable for bridge measuring circuits, pressure sensors, and strain gauges. Supports ranges of 15mV to 50mV.

TX9137 AC Input

Accepts AC input signals from load cells, AC generators, accelerometers, and velocity sensors, or power measurement systems. Supports AC Peak (10Hz-10KHz, 10V pk/pk) and AC RMS (10Hz-10KHz, 10V pk/pk).

Programmable Output Signals

The amplifier offers two independent output relays with configurable set point alarm levels. Relay functions include AUTO, LATCH, and IMPULSE, with hysteresis dead band control. It supports rising/falling alarm relay functions, power-on delay run-up periods, output delay timers, and input update periods. Permanent memory data retention is also included.

An analogue repeater output signal can be substituted for one of the output contacts, providing options for 4-20mA or 0.4-2V repeater signals for communication with data systems.

Information Display

The unit features a high contrast dot-matrix LCD that displays the signal bar graph, engineering units, set point status LEDs, and signal tendency arrows (rising/falling). It also shows zero and span information.

Information Security

All essential information can be protected by a user security code, allowing access to day-to-day functions while securing critical settings.

Signal Fault Alarm

The device includes line and input signal monitoring to detect system failures. If an open or short circuit signal line is detected, both output relays will de-energize, and a HIGH or LOW SIGNAL ERROR will be displayed.
