Important Safety Instructions
[Warning Symbol] This symbol warns the user of important instructions relating to handling, operation, and maintenance.
- Read and keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings.
- Listening at high volumes can cause hearing damage. Avoid prolonged use at high volumes (over 85dB for more than one hour). Take regular breaks. If you experience tinnitus or hearing loss, stop use and consult a doctor.
- Always turn headphones on before wearing them. Set the listening device's volume to minimum before connecting and then gradually increase volume.
- Never use headphones without earpads.
- Ensure you can still hear ambient sounds. Active noise cancellation may reduce awareness of surroundings, posing a risk. Do not use in conditions requiring special attention (heavy traffic, construction sites, railway lines) or while operating vehicles or bicycles.
- Avoid using headphones in crowded places for activities like running or walking; keep volume low to hear ambient sounds.
- Supervision is required for children under 14.
- Use headphones only for their intended purpose; not as noise protection or aviation headsets.
- Use compliant adapters for aeroplane seat plugs to prevent overheating damage.
- Remove headphones immediately if you feel heat or lose audio signal.
- Do not place burning objects near or on the headphones.
- Do not apply excessive weight or pressure to the headphones.
- Do not expose headphones to moisture or immerse them in water.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid solvent-based cleaners.
- Servicing should be performed by a professional for any damage (liquid spillage, cable damage, drops, etc.). Do not modify the system.
- Replace earpads only with manufacturer-specified models to maintain sound quality and ANC.
- Product poses risks of choking, fire, or electrocution.
- Contains magnetic components that may interfere with pacemakers/defibrillators. Consult a doctor if you have implanted medical devices.
- [Recycling Symbol] This product must be recycled properly, not disposed of with household waste.
- Contains a lithium-ion battery. Handle with care to avoid explosion, fire, heat, smoke, or gas release. Do not disassemble, open, pierce, or replace the battery yourself; professional replacement is required with identical Focal parts.
- Battery safety: Do not short-circuit terminals, expose to excessive heat (above 70°C) or humidity (above 90%), expose to water/rain, use damaged batteries, subject to impacts, or incinerate. Contact a doctor if exposed to battery components. If battery shows unusual odor, heat, or warping, switch off and contact dealer.
- Use only with certified Limited Power Supply (LPS) meeting local regulations.
- Charge battery between 0°C and 45°C. Never charge swollen, leaking, or damaged batteries/chargers. Charge on non-flammable, non-conductive surfaces, away from flammable materials. Keep battery/charger away from children under 14. Do not use while charging.
- Battery performance degrades over time. Recharge every three months during prolonged non-use. Avoid excessive heat (above 40°C) or cold (below -5°C) for optimal use.

Powering On/Off & Pairing
Slide the power button to ON to power on, and to OFF to power off. Headphones automatically enter standby after 15 minutes of inactivity in Bluetooth mode. Press the multifunction button to wake from standby.
The headphones can save up to 8 devices. To pair with a new device, press and hold the multifunction button for 4 seconds until the logo flashes and a sound signal is emitted. Then, go to your device's Bluetooth settings to connect to "Focal Bathys".
Usage Modes
Bluetooth®: Ensure the power switch is ON. Pairing mode is automatic on first use. Range is approximately 15 meters (16.4 yards) in open field.
Jack: Use the supplied jack cable. Connect to the right earcup. The power switch must be ON. Bluetooth® disconnects when the jack cable is connected.
USB DAC: Use the supplied USB-C® cable. Move the power switch to the DAC position. This mode allows high-resolution audio playback.

Minimum USB AC adapter requirement: 5-volt output, 300mA current.
Fast charging: Use a 2-amp (2000mA) adapter. 15 minutes of fast charging provides approximately 5 hours of listening time. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours (with 2 amps) and provides up to 30 hours of battery life.
During charging, the battery light flashes white; it stays white when fully charged.
Active Noise Reduction & Transparency Mode
Press the button on the left earcup to switch between modes:
- Short press: Toggle between Noise Reduction and Transparency Mode.

Voice Assistants
Compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Select your preferred assistant in the app and connect your account. Activate by pressing the button on the right earcup and speaking.
Telephone Communications
When receiving a call, playback pauses, and a ringtone is heard. The headphones feature Clear Voice® technology microphones.

The headphones can store up to 8 devices. If more than 8 are connected, the oldest pairing is removed and must be re-established.
