Connect to EPV variable speed pump
EPV Wi-Fi Direct connection is a point-to-point connection without access to any network. It is like a private controller. It can be connected and controlled by mobile phone, tablet PC, laptop, or any Wi-Fi enabled device directly, without consideration of OS platform. All that is needed is a web browser.
- Go to the Wi-Fi setting of your mobile phone and find "EMAUX-WiFi" and enter the password "emaux_pump" for connection. This is the factory default SSID name and password.
- Scan the QR code label on the side of the controller unit. This will access the EPV web server user interface, and the browser will show “epv.emaux.com”, which is a virtual domain name without internet connection.
- Alternatively, type the IP address 192.168.8.1 to access.
Visual Description: The page displays a diagram illustrating Wi-Fi Direct connection between devices (phone, tablet, laptop) and the Emaux pump. It also shows screenshots of the web interface accessed via the pump's IP address. One screenshot shows the main pump status with speed and wattage, and another shows speed settings and schedule settings, including options for 'Speed 1', 'Speed 2', 'Speed 3', 'Speed 4', and 'Freeze Protection Setting'.
Change SSID and Password
The SSID and Password can be changed by typing the IP address 192.168.8.1:8088 to access the Wi-Fi Network setting page. This is similar to how one configures a home router.
- Type the desired SSID name and password, repeat the same password, then press "Submit".
- The EPV Wi-Fi SSID and password will be changed, and you will need to re-connect the EPV Variable speed pump Wi-Fi using the new assigned SSID and Password.
- Scan the QR code or type the IP address 192.168.8.1 to access the web server page again.
Visual Description: A screenshot shows the Wi-Fi Network setting page with fields for SSID, Password, and Repeat Password. Options like 'SSID & Password Setting', 'WIFI Firmware Upgrade', 'Station configuration', 'Network Info', and 'Configuration Info' are visible in a sidebar menu.
Connect to Home Network
(Caution) Users need to know how to access their "Home Network Router" settings. It is preferred to do this via a desktop or laptop PC.
The EPV variable speed pump Wi-Fi can be set to connect to a Home Network to extend the control distance and provide easy access.
- Access Emaux-WIFI, type IP address 192.168.8.1:8088 to access the Wi-Fi network setting. Select "Station configuration".
- Type your Home Network SSID and password, repeat the password, and then press "Submit". It will show "success" when done. The EPV will connect to the Home Router automatically. The Direct-Wi-Fi connection SSID will be erased and can't be found or used.
- Access your router and go to the DHCP Client list to find the EPV's new IP address. The location and display format may vary depending on the router. Users must know how to retrieve the new IP address from the router's DHCP clients list.
- Connect your mobile phone/tablet to the assigned "Home Network", then type the new IP address for user interface access.
Visual Description: The page shows a diagram illustrating the connection of the Emaux pump to a home network. It also includes a screenshot of the 'Station configuration' page within the pump's settings, where users can input their home network's SSID and password. Another visual shows a DHCP Clients List from a router, displaying assigned IP addresses to various devices, including the EPV pump.
