Emaux Water Technology support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
When should I backwash my Emaux sand filter?
You should backwash the filter when the pressure gauge reading is approximately 1.5 bar (or 20-25 kPa) higher than the initial pressure recorded when the filter sand was clean.
-
How do I prime the Emaux pump?
Release all air from the filter and piping system. If the pump is above the water level, fill the trap and pump body with water, tighten the lid by hand, and then start the pump.
-
What is the correct sand level for the filter tank?
The sand surface should be leveled and generally come to about the middle of the filter tank. Always check your specific model's manual for the exact sand quantity required.
-
Why is water leaking from the waste line during filtration?
This may indicate that the multiport valve spider gasket is damaged or the valve handle is not fully seated in the 'Filter' position. Ensure the handle is locked into place or inspect the gasket.
-
Can I change the valve position while the pump is running?
No. Always turn the pump off before depressing the control valve handle and rotating it to a new position to prevent damage to the valve seal and system components.
