Diagram Descriptions
Power Vent Assembly: The diagram illustrates the layout of the power vent system, including the Hot Water Connection, Cold Water Connection, Anode Rod, and T&P Fitting (3/4" N.P.T.).
Safety Features: The product incorporates a Combustion Shut-off System and a Flame Arrestor Plate. These are safety mechanisms designed to disable the heater if flammable vapors are detected.
High Ambient Installations
For installations in high ambient temperatures (100-175°F), a specific kit (SP21171) is available. This requires the first 10 equivalent feet of vent pipe and/or fittings to be made of CPVC (Schedule 40, ASTM F441) or ABS (Schedule 40, ASTM D2661). Corresponding fitting materials are CPVC (Schedule 40, ASTM F438) or ABS (Schedule 40 DWV, ASTM D2661).
