1. Features

The smart doorbell is equipped with the following components:

• 1) Microphone: For audio input.
• 2) Wide-angle Lens: Captures a broad view of the area.
• 3) Photosensitive Sensor: Detects ambient light levels.
• 4) Doorbell Button: The primary button to activate the doorbell. [bell icon]
• 5) LED Indicator: Provides visual status feedback.
• 6) Reset Button: Used to restore factory settings.
• 7) Speaker: For audio output.
• 8) USB Port (Battery Charging): For charging the internal battery using a Type-C cable.

LED Indicator Status:

• The LED flashes blue: The device is waiting to start pairing.
• The LED is red: The device is charging.

2. Charge the battery

Recommended charging time: 6-12 hours. Use a 1A universal Type-C interface for charging via the doorbell's USB port.

Fully charge the 800mAh battery before initial use. The battery can last for 2-3 months during normal standby use.

Note:

1. Frequent use of the doorbell can consume significant battery power. Charge the battery promptly when needed. Ringing the doorbell directly drains battery power.
2. Pressing the reset button on the back of the device will restore all settings and automatically remove the device from the associated app.

3. Set up your Doorbell

Steps 1: Download and Install App

Download and install the "Tuya Smart" app. You can search for "Tuya" on the App Store or Google Play. (QR codes for download are excluded from this document).

Steps 2: Register and Log In

Open the Tuya Smart app, register using your email or phone number, and log in to your account.

Steps 3: Add Your Doorbell

On the app's home page, select the "+" icon in the top right corner, then select "Smart Camera".

The app will search for nearby devices. Ensure your doorbell has entered pairing mode.

Note: If the device is not automatically searched, tap "Turn on Bluetooth" and grant "Allow device permissions near this application".

Permissions: Access permission management, enable WLAN, Bluetooth, and nearby devices, and select "Always Allow".

Steps 4: Connect to Wi-Fi

After adding the doorbell, enter your 2.4GHz wireless network name (SSID) and password, then click "Next". Keep your router, mobile phone, and doorbell close to each other during the connection process. After successful connection, click "Finish".

Note:

1. If the connection is unsuccessful, reset the device and try reconnecting.
2. If the connection times out, check if the power is too low. If so, charge the device and then attempt to connect again.

Steps 5: Finalize Setup

Fully charge the device and install it within a stable and effective Wi-Fi signal range. The smart doorbell host is now successfully added.

Note: Ensure push notifications are enabled on your phone: Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Turn on. Select the Tuya Smart App from the list of applications and enable notifications.

4. Doorbell and Ding Dong Matching

Connect the video doorbell to the wireless indoor ding-dong unit to receive an instant alert in your home when someone rings the doorbell. The indoor ding-dong can be plugged into any wall outlet or placed anywhere in your home.

Note: Video doorbells are compatible only with the manufacturer's wireless doorbells. A wireless buzzer is optional.

Installation Steps: Set your wireless indoor ding-dong with video doorbells

Steps 1: Pairing Preparation

Ensure your video doorbell is connected to your phone. Plug in your wireless indoor ding-dong. Long press the ding-dong machine's pairing key for 3 seconds, then press the doorbell key shortly to initiate pairing.

Steps 2: Adjust Volume

Press the middle button on the ding-dong unit to adjust the ringtone volume.

Steps 3: Select Ringtone

Press the bottom button to loop through 52 different ringtones and select your preferred one.

Steps 4: Test Call

Press the doorbell call button on the outdoor unit.

Steps 5: Confirm Ringtone

Press the call button again. The ringtone of your choice will automatically play.

5. Install your Doorbell

Mark drill holes on your wall using a suitable bit. Insert wall anchors and secure your doorbell with the provided mounting and security screws.

Mark the desired location for the doorbell. Drill holes into the wall and insert wall anchors.

Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using screws. Slide the doorbell onto the bracket. Secure the doorbell using the security screw located at the bottom.

Note: Use the live preview feature in the app to determine the optimal installation height. It is recommended not to install the doorbell below shoulder height.

Question: How do I reset the doorbell?

Answer: Press and hold the reset button for 6 seconds.

Question: How do I share a video doorbell with my family?

Answer:

1. Click on the doorbell from the home page to view the live broadcast.
2. Tap the settings icon in the upper right corner.
3. Select "Shared Devices".
4. Select "Add Sharing", enter the name of the account you want to share with, or follow the in-app instructions to set up sharing with your family.

Question: How many users can watch videos at the same time?

Answer: Up to 4 users can view the video feed. Both iOS and Android devices are compatible.

Question: Does 5G wireless network support?

Answer: No, 5G wireless network is not supported. Only 2.4G wireless network is supported.

Problem: My doorbell signal is not good.

Answer: Your doorbell may be too far from the wireless router, or there might be obstructions reducing the signal strength. Try relocating the router or installing a signal extender/repeater.

Question: Is this device battery-only powered?

Answer: Yes, it is battery-powered only. No wires are required.

Question: Can I use Tuya Smart Life Software to ring the doorbell?

Answer: Yes, you can use the Tuya Smart app.
