Wiring
The KMFC enclosure features a pre-pinned waterproof electrical connector. Splice this connector to your vehicle's audio harness using marine-grade waterproof butt connectors or a similar method. Refer to the wiring schematic below.
Wiring Schematic:
- Pin 1: 16AWG BLUE SPEAKER +
- Pin 2: 22AWG RED
- Pin 3: 22AWG GREEN
- Pin 4: 22AWG BLACK
- Pin 5: 16AWG CLEAR SPEAKER -

Mounting Overview
The KICKER 47KMFC fixed mounting system is designed for flat surface applications. Its 4-bolt by 2.5" (64mm) pattern accommodates various fasteners for ease of installation in vehicles. The mount supports either 5/16" or 8mm bolts and nuts. Three mounting configurations are available:
- Bolt-thru-mounting
- Bolt-to-mounting
- Stud mounting
Mounting Your New Enclosure
It is recommended to use flat washers between the mounting surface and the fastener. Loctite Threadlocker 271 (red) is required for installation but is not included.
Included Parts:
- Electrical Connector
- 5/16"-18UNC hex nuts
- 1½" long 5/16"-18UNC hex head bolts
- 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts
- Vehicle Mount
- Speaker Enclosure
Bolt-Thru-Mounting
This method requires socket head bolts (not included for this specific configuration). It allows the mount to be secured to a surface with pre-tapped threads, or nuts can be used in place of tapped threads.
- Apply Loctite Threadlocker 271 (red) to the threads of the desired length 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts. [Image description: A bolt with red threadlocker applied to its threads.]
- Locate the vehicle side mounting bracket and secure it using four socket head bolts. [Image description: A mounting bracket being secured to a surface with four bolts.]
- Torque fasteners to 10 ft-lbs. [Image description: A diagram showing a circular mount with four bolts being tightened to 10 ft-lbs.]
- Plug the electrical connector into the speaker enclosure. [Image description: An electrical connector being plugged into the speaker enclosure.]
- Apply the supplied anti-seize to the 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts.
- Orient the enclosure into the mount as desired and secure using the four supplied 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts. [Image description: The speaker enclosure being attached to the mount with four bolts.]
- Torque the 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts to 10 ft-lbs. [Image description: A diagram showing bolts being tightened to 10 ft-lbs.]
Bolt-To-Mounting
This configuration allows the mounting system and speaker to be pre-assembled before being bolted to a surface. Unlike bolt-thru-mounting, nuts are secured within the mount, and the mount is assembled onto the enclosure. Bolts pass through the mounting surface and thread into the mount.
- Place the supplied four 5/16"-18UNC hex nuts into the mount. [Image description: Four hex nuts being placed into a mounting bracket.]
- Apply the supplied anti-seize to the 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts.
- Place the mount, with the hex nuts inserted, onto the enclosure and secure using the four supplied 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts. [Image description: The mount with nuts being attached to the enclosure, secured by four bolts.]
- Torque the 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts to 10 ft-lbs. [Image description: A diagram showing bolts being tightened to 10 ft-lbs.]
- Apply Loctite Threadlocker 271 (red) to the threads of the supplied 1½" long 5/16"-18UNC hex head bolts. [Image description: A bolt with red threadlocker applied to its threads.]
- Plug the electrical connector into the speaker enclosure. [Image description: An electrical connector being plugged into the speaker enclosure.]
- Hold the enclosure up to the desired surface and thread the 1½" long 5/16"-18UNC hex head bolts through the surface and into the 5/16"-18UNC hex nuts. Torque bolts to 10 ft-lbs. [Image description: Bolts being threaded through a surface into nuts, with torque specification.]
Stud Mounting
Similar to Bolt-to-Mounting, Stud Mounting allows for pre-assembly of the system and speaker. The mounting bolts are retained within the mount, creating studs that secure the enclosure to the desired surface. Nuts are then threaded onto these studs.
- Place the supplied four 1½" long 5/16"-18UNC hex head bolts through the mount. [Image description: Four hex head bolts being inserted through a mounting bracket.]
- Apply the supplied anti-seize to the 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts.
- Place the mount with nuts inserted onto the enclosure and secure using the four supplied 7/8" long 5/16"-18UNC socket head bolts.
