Included Components
- Paul Neuhaus 835925 Smart Home Light fixture
- Q-receiver unit
- Radio Remote Control (RRC)
- Mounting hardware (screws, etc.)
Fitting Instructions
Follow these steps to mount the light fixture to the ceiling:
- Ensure the power supply is switched off at the main breaker before starting installation.
- Identify the mounting points on the ceiling. The diagram shows a required clearance of 6mm.
- Attach the mounting bracket (indicated by '1' in the diagram) to the ceiling using appropriate screws (indicated by '2' and '3').
- Connect the Q-receiver unit to the power supply and the light fixture as shown in the electrical connection section.
- Carefully lift the light fixture and align it with the mounting bracket.
- Secure the light fixture to the bracket. The diagram shows a sequence of attaching the fixture after the bracket is fixed.
Diagram Description: The fitting diagram illustrates the process of mounting the light fixture to a ceiling. It shows a mounting bracket being fixed to the ceiling with screws (labeled 1, 2, 3). The fixture itself is then attached to this bracket. A dimension of 6mm is indicated.
Electrical Connection
Connect the light fixture to the 230V/50Hz power supply. The diagram shows the connection points for the Q-receiver.
- Ensure the power is OFF.
- Connect the main power supply wires to the Q-receiver unit. The diagram indicates connections for Live (L) and Neutral (N). The diagram shows 'L (b)' and 'N (a)' as input terminals on the Q-receiver.
- Connect the Q-receiver output to the light fixture's internal wiring. The diagram shows the fixture's wiring connected to the Q-receiver.
- The diagram shows components labeled '4' and '5' which are part of the fixture's internal wiring or mounting.
- A QR code (labeled '7') is present, which will be excluded from the output.
Diagram Description: The electrical connection diagram shows how to wire the light fixture. It details connecting the 230V AC mains supply (Live and Neutral wires) to the Q-receiver unit. The Q-receiver then connects to the light fixture's internal wiring. Components labeled 4 and 5 are part of the fixture or its connection system. A QR code is visible but will be excluded.
Remote Control and Reset
Pairing the Remote Control
To pair the radio remote control with the Q-receiver:
- Refer to the separate Q-remote control manual for detailed pairing instructions.
- The diagram shows the Q-receiver unit and the remote control.
- The general process involves activating the Q-receiver and then operating the remote control.
Resetting the Lamp to Factory Settings
To reset the light fixture to its factory default settings:
- Switch the lamp ON and OFF repeatedly, 5 times.
- The sequence is: ON (5-10 seconds), OFF (1-2 seconds), ON (1-2 seconds), OFF (1-2 seconds), ON (1-2 seconds).
- After the sequence, the lamp will reset to its factory settings.
Diagram Description: The remote control section shows the Q-receiver and a remote. The reset section illustrates a sequence of 5 on/off cycles with specific timing intervals (5-10 seconds, then 1-2 seconds for subsequent cycles) to perform a factory reset.
