Kit Contents and Tools

This kit is for the 1" Handle Extension Kit for M-CORE™™ TUB/SHOWER VALVES (U130, U140, U232, U362 Series Valves).

Parts List:

Installation Instructions

1. Remove Short Cartridge Nut (A).
2. Remove Cartridge (B).
3. Remove Pressure Balance Puck (C).
4. Install Spacer (D).
5. Install Pressure Balance Puck (C).
6. Install Cartridge (B).
7. Install Tall Cartridge Nut (E) included with this kit. Hand tight + 1¼ turn with wrench or 106-115 in-lbs (12-13 Nm).
8. Follow instructions provided with the trim kit to set the temperature limit.
9. Install the Tall Sleeve (F) included with this kit onto the valve until it stops and orient markings downward.
10. Push Mounting Plate (J) included with the trim kit onto Tall Sleeve (F) until it bottoms on the wall and align holes to threaded holes in valve. Insert the longer screws (H) included with this kit through Snap Ring (K) and Mounting Plate (J) and secure to the valve until the mounting plate bottoms on the finished wall. Do not overtighten.
11. Ensure the snap ring is centered on the sleeve for proper escutcheon placement. If off-center, loosen screws, reposition, and secure.
12. Follow the remaining steps in the instruction sheets provided in the trim kit.

Moen Limited Lifetime Warranty

Moen warrants to the original consumer purchaser for as long as they own their home that this faucet will be leak- and drip-free during normal use and all parts and finishes will be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship. For other purchasers, the warranty is 5 years from the original date of purchase.

If a defect occurs during the warranty period, Moen will provide free of charge the necessary parts to restore the faucet to good working condition and will replace any part or finish that proves defective in material and manufacturing workmanship under normal installation, use, and service.

To obtain replacement parts, contact Moen using the provided phone numbers or website. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must accompany all warranty claims. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by the use of non-genuine Moen parts.

Damage due to installation error, product abuse, product misuse, or use of cleaners containing abrasives, alcohol, or other organic solvents is excluded from this warranty. Moen is not responsible for labor charges and/or damage incurred in installation, repair, or replacement, nor for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, losses, injury, or costs of any nature relating to this faucet.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including without restriction those of merchantability or fitness for use. Some states/provinces do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary.

To make a warranty claim: Write to Moen Incorporated, explain the defect, and include proof of purchase, your name, address, area code, and telephone number.
