Instruction Manual

Safety Information

  • This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children.
  • Warning: This product includes lithium polymer batteries.
  • Keep product out of the reach of children and pets to avoid chewing and swallowing.
  • Product operating and storage temperature is from 0 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. Under and over this temperature might affect the function.
  • Never open the product. Touching the inside electrics can cause electric shock. Repairs or service should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Do not expose to heat, water, moisture, direct sunlight!
  • Please remove the earphones in case of any leakage or excessive heat from the product to avoid burns or rash.
  • Please protect your ears against loud volume. Loud volume can damage your ears and risk in hearing loss.
  • Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 m (30 feet). The maximum communication distance may vary depending on the presence of obstacles (people, metal objects, walls, etc.) or the electromagnetic environment.
  • Microwaves emitting from a Bluetooth device may affect the operation of electronic medical devices.
  • The unit is not waterproof. If water or foreign objects enter the unit, it may result in fire or electric shock. If water or a foreign object enters the unit, stop use immediately.

Operating Instructions

Switch On

After the unit has been paired, hold the power button until the LED lights up and then let go. When it has been paired, it will automatically reconnect once turned on.

Switch Off

To switch off, press and hold the Power key for about 3 seconds. There is a prompt tone and a red indicating light. If the headset is not connected to a device within 5 minutes, it switches off automatically.

Pairing

  1. Ensure that your phone or Bluetooth device is switched on.
  2. To pair the headset that has not been previously paired with a device, switch on the headset by pushing and holding the power button for approximately 3 seconds. The headset starts in Bluetooth search mode (red/blue light flashes quickly).
  3. Activate Bluetooth on your phone or Bluetooth device, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select "BTH-251" from the list of found devices on your phone or Bluetooth devices.
  5. When Bluetooth is paired successfully, there will be a prompt tone and the blue light flashes only.

Adjust the Volume

Turn volume up or down by short pushing on the volume +/- key during a calling or while listening to music. When the volume reaches its maximum, there is a warning tone.

Charge the Battery

Insert the Micro USB end of the included USB cable into the Micro USB charging port connector under the right ear-cap of the headphone, and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer or other devices made for USB charging. The indicator light shows red during charging. Once fully charged, the indicator light shows blue. Charge time is approximately 2-3 hours if the battery is empty. The fully charged battery has power for up to 6 hours of talking and/or music time (and up to 300 hours standby time).

Calls

To answer or end a call, push once on the phone key to answer or reject a call. End a call with a short press on the phone key.

Passive Mode

You can use the DENVER BTH-251 as a wired headphone. Simply connect the headset to your MP3 player with a 3.5mm audio cable.

Cautions

  • Please avoid very high volume for a constant period of time. This may damage your hearing.
  • If not used for a long time, make sure to charge it once every 6 months.
  • Battery is built-in and it is not replaceable.
  • Please keep the headset away from wet areas. Do not use in rain or moist weather.
  • The operating temperature is 5°C to 35°C. Please don't put the headset into fire to avoid battery blast accident.
