Getting Started

1. Installing the Battery

Slide the battery pack onto the back of the radio until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached.

2. Attaching the Antenna

Screw the antenna onto the antenna connector on the top of the radio until snug. Do not overtighten.

3. Charging the Battery

Note: For first-time use, fully charge the battery. The battery may not be fully charged from the factory.

Place the radio or battery pack into the charging cradle. Connect the charger adapter to a power outlet and the cradle. The charging indicator light will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).

Basic Operation

1. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button to turn the radio on or off.

2. Adjusting Volume

Turn the Channel Selector Knob to choose the desired channel. Ensure all radios in your group are set to the same channel for communication.

4. Transmitting

Press and hold the PTT Button, speak clearly into the microphone, and release the PTT Button when finished speaking.

5. Receiving

Release the PTT Button. The radio will automatically receive incoming transmissions on the selected channel.
