Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential steps to quickly set up and start your Champion 4000W Dual Fuel Electric Start Inverter Generator. For complete instructions and safety information, always refer to the full Operator's Manual.

- Oil Funnel
- Engine Oil (10W-30)
- Spark Plug Wrench
- Propane (LPG) Hose with Regulator
- Battery Charger

⚠ DANGER: Move Generator Outdoors
Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide. This is a poison you cannot see or smell.
NEVER use inside a home or garage, EVEN IF doors and windows are open.
ONLY use OUTSIDE and far away from windows, doors, and vents.

ℹ️ NOTICE
Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

Set Up
Connect the Battery ?
Cut the cable tie on each side of the battery connector. Push the two halves of the battery connector together tightly.

Add Engine Oil ?️
Recommended: 10W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml). DO NOT overfill.

Move the Generator Outdoors ?
ONLY USE OUTSIDE AND FAR AWAY FROM WINDOWS, DOORS, AND VENTS.

Add Fuel - Gasoline ⛽ or Propane (LPG)
For gasoline operation: DO NOT USE E15 OR E85.

Start Up
DO NOT plug in any electrical devices ?
NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

Starting the Engine: Gasoline
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the "CHOKE” position.
- Press the ignition switch to the "START" position.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “GASOLINE RUN" position.

Starting the Engine: Propane (LPG)
- Open the propane tank valve.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the "CHOKE” position.
- Press and release the ignition switch one time; the engine will begin to start. If the engine fails to start within (7) seconds, repeat steps 1-3 three times.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the “PROPANE RUN” position.
- Press and release the ignition switch.

Circuit Breakers
Make sure ALL circuit breakers are set to the ON or closed position. Flip reset and/or push reset ALL circuit breakers to the ON or closed position.

Plug in ✅
Connect electrical loads.
