Welcome & Installation
This guide provides essential operating instructions for your new KitchenAid built-in side-by-side refrigerator. For optimal performance, ensure the appliance has been properly installed according to the Owner's Manual.
Factory temperature settings are typically preset at 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer. Allow at least 24 hours for the unit to reach the set temperatures before loading food.
Temperature Controls
The temperature control interface is located on the freezer door. You can adjust refrigerator and freezer temperatures using the control panel. Refer to the Owner's Manual for detailed temperature ranges and adjustment procedures.
Measured Fill Water Dispenser
Calibrate the Measured Fill feature for accurate water dispensing. Press and hold the 'Measured Fill' button for 3 seconds to enter calibration mode. Dispense water into a container until the desired amount is reached, then press the button again to save the setting.
To dispense water, press the 'Measured Fill' button and then press the water pad or place a glass under the dispenser.
Water Filter
The water filter indicator on the control panel will alert you when it's time to replace the water filter cartridge. Replace the filter when the indicator shows 'Replace' or turns red, or if water flow decreases. After replacement, press and hold the 'Filter Reset' button for 3 seconds.
Special Features
Max Cool: Temporarily lowers refrigerator and freezer temperatures for heavy loads or warm room conditions. It automatically shuts off after approximately 12 hours.
Max Freeze: Temporarily increases ice production by lowering freezer temperature. It automatically shuts off after approximately 48 hours.
