Installation Steps

1. Removing Old Toilet

  1. Turn off the toilet supply valve and flush completely. Wipe remaining water from tank and bowl.
  2. Disconnect and remove the supply tube. (Note: Shut off main water supply if replacing the valve).
  3. Remove old mounting bolts, old toilet, and plug the floor waste opening to prevent sewer odors.
  4. Remove toilet flange bolts and clean the base of old wax, putty, etc.

Note: The mounting surface must be clean and level before installing the new toilet.

2. Rough-In Dimensions

Note: The distance between the wall and the centerline of the toilet flange must be 12 inches (30.5 cm).

3. Installing Mounting Bolts

Install closet bolts to the flange channel, turn them 90 degrees, and slide them into place 6 inches (152mm) apart and parallel to the wall.

4. Installing Wax Ring

Invert the toilet on the floor (use cushioning to prevent damage) and install the wax ring evenly around the floor drain, with the tapered end of the ring facing the toilet.

5. Placing Toilet on Flange

  1. Clear the floor waste opening and place the toilet on the flange so that the bolts pass through the mounting holes.
  2. Loosely install the retainer washers and nuts. Ensure the sides marked "THIS SIDE UP" face upwards.

6. Toilet Installation

  1. Position the toilet square to the wall. With a rocking motion, press the bowl down onto the wax ring and flange. Alternately tighten the bolts until the toilet is firmly mounted.
  2. Install the bolt caps on the washers. If necessary, cut the bolt height to the correct length before installing caps.
  3. Join the water intake valve and the supply valve with the flexible connecting hose. If a filter is included, connect it first. Turn on the water supply and ensure all connections are properly joined and leak-free. Tightening nuts further can prevent leaks.
  4. Apply a bead of sealant around the base of the toilet and remove any excess sealant.

WARNING: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN NUTS, AS THIS COULD DAMAGE THE BASE OR BREAK THE PORCELAIN.

Cleaning & Maintenance

To clean the toilet, use warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid detergents, disinfectants, or cleaning products in aerosol cans. Never use abrasive powders, scouring powders, or pads on the toilet seat. Some bathroom chemicals and cosmetics may damage the seat's finish.

WARNING: Do not use in-tank cleaners. Products containing chlorine (calcium hypochlorite) can seriously damage fittings in the tank, causing leakage and property damage.
