Compliance with RF Exposure Standards
This two-way radio uses electromagnetic energy in the radio frequency (RF) spectrum for communication. RF energy is a form of electromagnetic energy. Experts in science, engineering, medicine, health, and industry work with organizations to develop standards for safe exposure to RF energy. These standards provide recommended levels of RF exposure for both workers and the general public, including substantial margins of protection.
All RADTEL two-way radios are designed, manufactured, and tested to meet government-established RF exposure levels. Manufacturers also recommend specific operating instructions to users. These instructions are important for informing users about RF energy exposure and providing simple procedures on how to control it.
For more information on RF energy exposure and how to control your exposure to assure compliance with established RF exposure limits, please refer to: http://www.who.int/en/
⚠️
Regulations and Licenses
Local Government Regulations
When two-way radios are used for employment, Local Government Regulations require users to be fully aware of and able to control their exposure to meet occupational requirements. This awareness can be facilitated by product labels directing users to specific information. The Radtel two-way radio includes an RF Exposure Product Label, and the user manual or safety booklet provides instructions for controlling RF exposure and satisfying compliance requirements.
Radio License
Governments classify radios. Most classified walkie-talkies require a local government license for operation. For specific classifications like USA/CA FRS, Australian CB, and EU PMR446, an individual license is not required.
FCC ID
The FCC ID indicates compliance with IEEE (FCC) and ICNIRP exposure limits for occupational/controlled RF exposure environments at operating duty factors of up to 50% talk-50% listen. It is approved for occupational use only.
IC ID
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
CE Marking
The CE marking signifies that Xiamen Radtel Electronics Co., Ltd. declares that the radio equipment type is in conformity with the RED directive 2014/53/EU, ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU, and WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU.
