Wi-Fi Control

The Rinnai Pro Series comes with Wi-Fi capability as standard, enabling Wi-Fi control via a dedicated App.

The 'NetHome Plus' App is simple to activate and use, available for download from Google Play or the App Store on a compatible mobile device.

Once installed and registered, you can operate your appliance remotely. Basic functions such as ON/OFF, temperature control, and fan speed are accessible through the App.

The Wi-Fi control offers the convenience of switching on your Pro Series unit from outside the home, enhancing comfort.

Overview

Your home's Internet router relays requests from the App to control your air conditioner, functioning similarly to a standard remote controller. You can set your preferred temperature before arriving home.

Connection Steps:

1. Download and install the NetHome Plus App on a compatible mobile device.
2. Complete the App registration by creating an account. This must be done in the same location as the Pro Series unit.
3. Pair your mobile device to the Pro Series unit via your home router.

Important: When connecting the device, ensure all steps are completed within eight minutes of powering on the unit. Failure to do so will require powering the unit off and on again to restart the process.

Additional App tips for successful connection:

• 5GHz networks are not supported.
• Ensure the app has permission to access your location.
• Position the router close to the product and cellphone, ensuring no physical obstacles are present between them.
• Keep mobile data access turned off during the setup process.
• To enable the App to search for your home device and connect it to your home Wi-Fi, allow the App to use your location at all times. The App will utilize location data in the background to maintain the connection with your home device.

User Registration

Download the NetHome Plus app from Google Play or the App Store.

Before opening the App, verify that your mobile device is connected to the wireless router and that the router is powered on before proceeding with user registration and network configuration.

Steps:

1. Open the App and sign in.
2. Create an account, select your region, tick the terms and privacy checkboxes, and click on 'Register'.
3. Agree to the permission and privacy requests. The App will prompt for specific permissions (e.g., camera, location) before accessing them.
4. After selecting 'Agree', you will receive an activation email from the provided address. Click the included URL to activate your account. An 'Activation Successful' message will confirm completion. The next step is to pair your mobile device to the Pro Series unit.

Device Setup - Using Scan for Nearby Devices

This setup process utilizes Bluetooth to locate and configure the device.

Steps:

1. Open the App, which should lead you to the 'Welcome Home' screen for setting up your Pro Series. Select 'Add Device'.
2. Review the guide information to ensure there are no barriers to setup and click OK.
3. Select the 'Scan for nearby devices' option for an easier setup.
4. Identify the Pro Series as a Split-Type AC and click to add it.
5. The screen will display your home Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password and tap 'Start Configuration'.
6. Configuration screens will show the progress of the connection.
7. Choose an existing name or location for the device, or customize it with a new name.
8. Upon successful Bluetooth network configuration, the Pro Series device will appear on the 'Welcome Home' screen.

If the Bluetooth network configuration fails, proceed with the manual setup process by selecting the appliance type (refer to page 8).

Device Setup - Using Manual Setup

Steps:

1. Open the App to the 'Welcome Home' screen and select 'Add Device'.
2. Read the guide information to ensure no setup barriers exist and click OK.
3. Select 'Split-type AC', as this is the model for the Pro Series.
4. Choose 'Manual Setup'.
5. Turn the Pro Series on, wait for five seconds, and select 'Next'. Press the LED button on the controller 7 times until 'AP' flashes in the digital display. (Note: 'Do Not Disturb' is not applicable for the Pro Series).
6. Click 'Go to WLAN List'. (Note: Android and iOS screens may differ during this part of the process).
7. Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
8. A 'Connecting' screen indicates successful network configuration.
9. Configuration is successful; the device will now be visible in the list.

Troubleshooting: If the device status appears offline, turn the Pro Series unit off and then on again. The unit status should update and become online within a few minutes.

Using the App

After selecting your device in the App, you will encounter an interface that provides access to various features. 'Luffing' refers to the vertical louvre movement (up or down). The App is designed to be straightforward and intuitive.

Schedule (Timers)

Multiple options are available for setting timer schedules, including common presets like 'Every day', 'Weekdays', 'Only once', and custom day selections.

Sleep Function

This function gently regulates the set temperature to prevent excessive draft, heating, or cooling during sleep. It allows the set temperature to increase or decrease 0.5-1 °C per hour, up to a maximum of 2 °C above or below the set point over a 10-hour period. Users can select a default curve or customize their own.

Check and Share Device

Check

This feature allows you to check the status of the unit. Upon completion, it will highlight any system abnormalities.

Share Device

The system can be controlled by multiple users (maximum of 20) simultaneously using the 'Share QR code' function.

Other users must download and register the NetHome Plus App. On the 'Welcome Home' screen, they need to click the '+' button and select 'Add Share Device'. They can then scan the QR code.
