Caution

How to Use the Joystick Button
Control monitor functions by pressing or moving the joystick button.

Note: The joystick button is located at the bottom of the monitor.
Moving and Lifting the Monitor
To prevent scratches or damage during transport: Place in original packaging. Disconnect power and cables before moving. Hold the frame firmly, not the panel. Keep the screen facing away from you. Avoid shock or excessive vibration. Keep upright; do not tilt or turn sideways.
Caution
Avoid touching the screen to prevent damage. Using the monitor without the stand base can cause instability and falls. The joystick button may malfunction if the monitor is unstable.
Installation
Installing on a Table
Place the monitor upright on a table, at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) from the wall for ventilation.
Caution
Unplug the power cord before installation to avoid electric shock. Use the provided power cord and a grounded outlet. Contact a dealer for a replacement cord.
Adjusting the Stand Height
1. Place the monitor upright on the stand base. 2. Handle with both hands.
Maximum adjustable height: 110.0 mm (4.3 inches).
Warning
Do not place hands on the stand body while adjusting height to avoid finger injury.
Adjusting the Angle
1. Place the monitor upright on the stand base. 2. Adjust the screen angle.
The screen angle can be adjusted from -5° to 15° for comfortable viewing.
Warning
To avoid finger injury, do not hold the lower part of the monitor frame when adjusting the angle. Be careful not to touch or press the screen.
Using the Kensington Lock
The Kensington security system connector is at the bottom of the monitor. Refer to the Kensington manual or http://www.kensington.com for installation and usage. Connect the monitor to a table using the security cable.
Note: The Kensington security system is optional and can be obtained from electronics stores.
Installing the Wall Mount Plate
This monitor is compatible with wall mount plates. Note: Wall mount plates are sold separately. Refer to the plate's installation guide. Do not apply excessive force during mounting to avoid screen damage. Remove the stand before wall mounting.
Installing on the Wall
Install the monitor at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) from the wall, with 100 mm (3.9 inches) space on each side for ventilation. Detailed instructions are available from local retailers or by referring to a tilting wall mounting bracket manual.
Using the Monitor
Note: Illustrations may differ from the actual product.
To access settings: Press the joystick button, navigate to Settings > Input, and select the input option.
Caution
Avoid pressing the screen for extended periods to prevent image distortion. Do not display static images for long periods to prevent image retention; use a screensaver. Connect the power cord to a grounded outlet. Monitor may flicker in low temperatures (normal). Red, green, or blue spots on the screen are normal.
Connecting to a PC
This monitor supports Plug and Play, allowing device addition without reconfiguration or manual driver installation.
HDMI Connection
Transmits digital video and audio signals from your PC. Caution: Using DVI to HDMI or DP to HDMI cables may cause compatibility issues. Use certified HDMI cables with the HDMI logo. Recommended types: High-Speed HDMI®/™ cable, High-Speed HDMI®/™ cable with Ethernet.
DisplayPort Connection
Transmits digital video and audio signals from your PC. Note: Video/audio output may depend on the PC's DisplayPort version. Use the supplied DisplayPort cable. For Mini DisplayPort, use a Mini DP to DP cable or gender supporting DisplayPort 1.4.
Connecting AV Devices
HDMI Connection
Transmits digital video and audio signals from AV devices. Note: Compatibility issues may arise with DVI to HDMI or DP to HDMI cables. Use certified HDMI cables. Recommended types: High-Speed HDMI®/™ cable, High-Speed HDMI®/™ cable with Ethernet.
Connecting Peripherals
Headphones Connection
Connect peripherals via the headphones port. Note: Peripheral devices sold separately. Audio functions may be limited by PC/external device settings. Angled earphones may interfere with other connections; straight earphones are recommended.

Activating the Main Menu
1. Press the joystick button. 2. Navigate options with the joystick. 3. Press the joystick button again to exit.

Main Menu Features
Input: Sets input mode. Power Off: Turns off the monitor. Settings: Configures screen settings. Game: Sets game mode. Exit: Exits the main menu.
Menu Settings
1. Press joystick to enter OSD menu, then Settings. 2. Use joystick to navigate and set options. 3. Use joystick to return to upper menu or set items. 4. Use joystick to exit OSD menu.

Note: Changing picture mode may cause screen flicker or affect PC resolution.

Note: Feature may not work if the connected device does not support ULTRA HD Deep Color. Set to Off if problems occur. Must be set separately for each HDMI port. Can be changed via SET OSD Menu (Settings - Picture - Picture Adjust - HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color Off/On).
DFC (Dynamic Contrast Control)

Response Time | Sets response time for displayed pictures. Faster: For fast-moving pictures (may cause image sticking). Fast: Standard fast response. Normal: Standard response time. Off: Disables response time improvement. |
FreeSync | Provides seamless, natural images by synchronizing vertical frequencies. Note: Supports DisplayPort, HDMI. Requires compatible graphics card and latest drivers. Refer to http://www.amd.com/FreeSync for details. Extended: Wider frequency range (may cause screen flicker). Basic: Basic frequency range. Off: FreeSync function off. |
Black Stabilizer | Controls black contrast for better visibility in dark scenes. Increasing value brightens low gray levels. Decreasing value darkens low gray levels and increases dynamic contrast. |
Color Adjust
Setting | Description |

Gamma | Mode 1, 2, 3: Higher gamma = darker image; lower gamma = lighter image. Mode 4: Default setting if no adjustment needed. Custom: Adjust to red, green, or blue. |
Color Temp | Warm: Reddish tone. Medium: Red/blue balance. Cool: Bluish tone. |
Red, Green, Blue | Customize picture color using Red, Green, and Blue. |
Six Color | Adjusts color and saturation of six colors (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) for user requirements. |

Saturation | Adjusts screen color saturation. Lower value = less saturated/brighter colors. Higher value = more saturated/darker colors. |

Troubleshooting
Nothing is displayed on the screen.
- Check power cord connection.
- Verify AC availability.
- Check power cable and press power button.
- Ensure correct input is selected (Settings > Input).
No Signal message or screen not displayed
- Check signal cable connection between PC and monitor.
- If still not displayed, for HDMI input: Set HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color to Off in General settings.
Out of Range message
- PC signals exceed monitor's frequency range. Refer to Product Specification for appropriate frequency settings.
Unstable/Shaky Display or Shadow Trails
- If using HDMI 1080i 60/50 Hz (interlaced), change resolution to 1080p or recommended.
- Incorrect graphics card resolution may cause blurred text, dim screen, or display misalignment. Contact graphics card manufacturer if issues persist.
Image Sticking (even when off)
- Displaying static images for long periods can cause screen damage (image retention). Use a screensaver to extend monitor life.
Spots on the Screen
- Pixilated spots (red, green, blue, white, black) are normal for LCD screens and do not indicate an error or performance issue.
Functions Disabled / OSD Lock
- If functions are unavailable, OSD may be locked. Disable OSD Lock in General settings.
"Unrecognized monitor" Message
- Install display driver from CD or http://www.lg.com.
- Ensure graphics card supports Plug and Play.
No Sound / Images Without Sound
- Check headphone port connections.
- Increase volume with joystick.
- Set PC audio output to the monitor.
