Safety Instructions

Intended Use

The following safety guidelines are intended to prevent unforeseen risks or damage from unsafe or incorrect operation of the appliance. Please check the packaging and appliance on arrival to make sure everything is intact to ensure safe operation. If you find any damage, please contact the retailer or dealer. Please note modifications or alterations to the appliance are not allowed for your safety concern. Unintended use may cause hazards and loss of warranty claims.

Explanation of Symbols

  • ⚠️ [Danger]: This symbol indicates that there are dangers to the life and health of persons due to extremely flammable gas.
  • ⚡ [Electrical Hazard]: This symbol indicates that there is a danger to life and health of persons due to voltage.
  • ⚠️ [Warning]: The signal word indicates a hazard with a medium level of risk which, if not avoided, may result in death or serious injury.
  • ⚠️ [Caution]: The signal word indicates a hazard with a low degree of risk which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
  • ? [Attention]: The signal word indicates important information (e.g. damage to property), but not danger.
  • ⚙️ [Observe Instructions]: This symbol indicates that a service technician should only operate and maintain this appliance in accordance with the operating instructions.

Read these operating instructions carefully and attentively before using/commissioning the unit and keep them in the immediate vicinity of the installation site or unit for later use!

Important Safeguards

  • Read all the instructions.
  • Do not insert pins, wires, or other objects into the holes at the bottom of the product to avoid electric shock or injury.
  • Please do not use wet hands to plug or unplug the plug to avoid electric shock and injury.
  • Damaged power cord plug, please do not use to avoid fire, electric shock, or short circuit.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • After use, cut off the power and clean the internal and external dirt in a timely manner. However, do not put the product into water or clean it with water to avoid damaging the insulation performance of the product.
  • During the work process, it is prohibited to move or shake the machine.
  • Do not modify: Except for maintenance technicians, no one is allowed to disassemble or repair to avoid fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Please do not operate in the following ways to avoid damage to the power cord, which may cause fire or electric shock: forcefully bending the power cord, approaching high temperatures, bundling, carrying heavy objects, etc. used by or near children.
  • Do not place the product in an unstable, damp or near other sources of fire or heat, as it may be damaged or cause accidents.
  • To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or the product in water or other liquid.
  • Some surfaces of the equipment may become hot during use, please do not touch them.
  • If the power cord is damaged, in order to avoid danger, it must be replaced by professionals from the manufacturer, its maintenance department, or similar departments.
  • Location with this symbol: During the operation of the appliance, certain surfaces may become hot, resulting in high temperatures. It is strictly prohibited to touch the hot plate and product surface with your hands to avoid burns. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. If you need to perform product maintenance or replace parts, please go to the designated professional repair shop of Midea. To avoid potential hazards caused by improper maintenance or improper selection of accessories.
  • Cannot operate under external timer or independent remote control system mode.
  • Please wipe off the spilled oil in a timely manner and avoid letting oil stains enter the interior of the product to avoid affecting its normal operation.
  • During the cooking process, do not use knives or metal utensils to cut food inside the baking tray. Do not use metal or rough objects to scrub and wipe the pot body, as this may damage the non stick coating.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • If there is dust or water stains on the power cord plug, plug tail, and product socket, please clean them in a timely manner to avoid fire, electric shock, or short circuit.
  • When the pot is used together with the steamer, a small amount of steam may escape during the heating process, causing the temperature of the steamer handle to rise. Please take anti scalding measures during the extraction process.
  • To use a grounded socket with a rated current of 10A or above separately, if used in conjunction with other appliances, the socket may experience abnormalities and cause fire hazards.
  • The plug needs to be fully inserted into the power socket, and the temperature control rod component needs to be fully inserted into the interface of the pot to avoid fire, electric shock, and short circuit.
  • When placing the product, do not place it too close to the stove. When using adapter plugs, do not use inferior plugs to avoid fire, electric shock, and short circuit.
  • The appliance must be used together with the matching connector.
  • Do not disassemble or repair the back cover without authorization or remove it with power. If the product malfunctions, it must be sent to the designated repair point for repair.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • The normal working altitude range of the product is 0-2000 meters. Regularly clean and remove oil stains on the product placement table. The optimal distance between the product and other products is at least 30 centimeters.
  • Please keep the instruction manual safe for future reference during use.
  • a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  • b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
  • c) If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: 1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; 2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and 3) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the cord set or extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
  • CAUTION: Risk of Electric Shock. Cook only in removable container.

Product Overview

The electric hot pot consists of the following components:

  • Pot Cover: The lid for the hot pot.
  • Pot lid handle: The handle on top of the pot cover for lifting it.
  • Pot body: The inner cooking vessel.
  • Body: The outer housing of the appliance.
  • Knob: The control dial for adjusting settings.

Operation Instructions

  1. Power on the product.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • After each use, be sure to pull out the plug of the power cord, wait a few minutes after power off, and then wipe with a damp rag. If it is stored for a long time, it should be cleaned with detergent.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents for cleaning.
  • Do not wash the product base in water to avoid the risk of electric shock and functional failure.
  • All parts should be dried before collection and then placed in a safe and dry place.

Troubleshooting

Operation of your appliance can lead to errors and malfunctions. The following tables contain possible causes and notes for resolving an error message or malfunction. It is recommended to read the tables carefully below in order to save your time and money that may cost for calling to the service center.

NOTE: For products with a reset hole on the back of the temperature control rod, if the product fails, press the button in the reset hole with an appropriate appliance. If the product still does not work, please troubleshoot according to the above self-test table.

1 Year Limited Warranty

This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition. This product is warranted to be (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning the product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value. This warranty does not cover wear from normal use, and damages to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales. This warranty is void if products is used for other than single family household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform. We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty. Legal rights that vary depending on where you live. Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on implied warranties or special, incidental consequential damages, so the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.
