2. Product Features

3. Product Structure

The fridge consists of the following main components:

The internal layout shows the freezer zone at the top, the cooling zone below it, and the crisper drawer at the very bottom. The control panel is located on the top front edge, and the compressor is housed at the bottom rear.

4. Operation

How to Turn on the Fridge

  1. Connect to 12V/24V power.
  2. Press the power button (⏻).
  3. The internal temperature will display.

Temperature Setting

  1. Press the SET button (⚙) to display 'FR' (freezer zone temperature setting) or 'RE' (refrigerator zone temperature setting).
  2. Press the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the temperature of the respective zone.

To Reset

  1. Power off the fridge.
  2. Hold the SET button (⚙) until 'E1' is displayed.
  3. Press the '+' and '-' buttons at the same time until the display shows '0.0.0'.

Battery Protection Mode Setting

The product has a three-level battery protection function to protect the vehicle's battery. When powered on, long press the SET button (⚙) for 3 seconds. The display screen will flash 'H'. Select low voltage protection L(ow), M(edium), and H(igh) by clicking the SET button (⚙).

The factory default is set to H(igh) protection. The battery protection levels are indicated by three horizontal lines, from left to right: L/M/H.

If error code F1 is shown, the fridge is in voltage protection mode. It will operate again once the battery is charged or the battery protection model is lowered from H to M, or M to L.

5. Installation

Ensure the refrigerator is in good order and not damaged upon opening the packaging. Any transportation damage must be reported promptly to the place of purchase within 24 hours of delivery. Handle the product with utmost care.

1. When installing in a cavity/cabinet

The refrigerator dimensions are 470mm (width) x 430mm (depth) x 630mm (height). For adequate ventilation, ensure at least 75mm of space at the rear and top of the refrigerator, and a minimum of 7.5mm of space on each side. Suggested cabinet dimensions are 485mm (width) x 505mm (depth) x 705mm (height).

Always place the refrigerator on a flat and level surface that can support its weight. Position it away from heat sources and ensure sufficient ventilation.

2. Connect to a power supply

Connect the refrigerator directly to the vehicle's 12V/24V DC system. The minimal cable cross-section should be chosen based on the overall length of wire between the refrigerator and the battery, as per the table below:

Wire Length to RefrigeratorWire Gauge
Maximum 6m14AWG
Maximum 11m12AWG
Maximum 17m10AWG

Enough excess wire should be kept to allow for moving the fridge into and out of the cabinet. It is highly recommended that the installation is carried out by a qualified person.

3. Push the refrigerator into cabinet

Carefully push the refrigerator into the cabinet to avoid scratching the floor. Ensure the power cable is loose, not kinked, or damaged.

4. Mount the fridge with the cabinet wall

Mounting points (holes) are built into the side wall of the refrigerator. Drill a hole into the cabinet to align with these mounting points. Fix the fridge with M5, 15mm minimum screws (not included) to the cabinet walls. Use the included screw covers to hide the screws. A total of 4 screws are required for installation into a cabinet.

The diagram illustrates the screw, screw holder, and screw cover components used for mounting.

5. Verify the installation

Once installation is complete, check the continuity of the negative circuit and perform all electrical safety testing as per current regulations. Protect and fix the cables to prevent accidental pulling or disconnection from any power source. Ensure cables do not come into contact with heat sources (50°C or more) or sharp objects.

6. Removing the freezer zone to make the fridge section larger

  1. Open the freezer zone lid to a 75° angle between it and the right border of the fridge.
  2. Pull out the freezer zone lid horizontally.
  3. Pull out the divider horizontally.

The diagram shows the freezer zone lid and divider, with arrows indicating the 'pull' direction at a 75-degree angle for removal.

7. Reserve door open direction

To reverse the door opening direction:

  1. Unscrew the bottom hinge.
  2. Take off the door body (keep the fridge stable).
  3. Unscrew and take off the door latch (labeled 8), then install it into the new location of the door latch (labeled 6).
  4. Remove the door head decorative sheet (labeled 5), then install it into the new location of the door head decorative sheet (labeled 7).
  5. Move the top door axle (labeled 1) and bottom door axle (labeled 3) to their new positions (labeled 2 and 4 respectively).
  6. Install the door to the refrigerator, fasten the top door axle with the top hinge, and install the bottom hinge screws to fix the door with the hinge.
  7. Close the door. The door opening direction is now reversed.

Diagrams illustrate the positions of the top door axle (1), new position of top door axle (2), bottom door axle (3), new position of bottom door axle (4), door head decorative sheet (5), new location of door latch (6), new location of door head decorative sheet (7), door latch (8), and bottom hinge (9).

8. Cleaning and storage

Cleaning the refrigerator

Before cleaning, ensure the refrigerator is disconnected from the power supply. If necessary, extract the plug from the power socket.

Exterior

Clean the exterior first with warm water, then with cold water. Dry with a soft cloth. Avoid all use of abrasive products.

Interior

Remove racks (or basket), containers, and ice trays. Clean the interior using warm water mixed with a little bicarbonate of soda or vinegar. Rinse and dry carefully with a soft cloth. Never use abrasive products, detergents, or soap.

Condenser

The condenser should be cleaned at least once a year using a vacuum cleaner or a dry brush.

In case of prolonged disuse, to avoid mould or unpleasant odours, disconnect the plug, empty the unit completely, clean the interior, and leave the door ajar.

If the fridge will not be used for a long period of time

  1. Turn off the power and disconnect the plug.
  2. Remove all fridge contents.
  3. Clean the fridge with a damp cloth.
  4. Ensure the fridge is dry.
  5. Store the fridge in a cool and dry place with the door ajar.

9. Appliance defrosting

Defrost the refrigerator when frost builds up to a thickness of more than three millimeters. This ensures efficient operation and avoids increased electricity consumption.

To achieve complete defrosting, turn off the fridge and keep the door open to quicken the defrosting time.

IMPORTANT: Do not use mechanical devices or other means not recommended by the manufacturer to accelerate the defrosting process.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT REMOVE THE LAYER OF FROST USING POINTED OR SHARP OR ANY TOOLS THAT MAY CAUSE A PUNCTURE IN THE COOLING PLATE WHICH WILL CAUSE IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE FRIDGE.

10. Smart control - fridge app instructions

Downloading the "BRASS MONKEY" Application

The app interface displays: "BRASS MONKEY" logo, "Power ON/OFF" button, current temperature (e.g., 25°C), temperature unit (°C), L-Box/R-Box indicators, battery voltage (e.g., 13.5V), "°C/°F settings" button, "Settings" button for advanced settings, temperature range display (e.g., -13 to -7), "ECO" mode, "Fast cooling mode", and battery protection settings (H, M, L with voltage thresholds like H <12.0V, M <11.5V, L <9.0V).

Note: If the temperature setting range on the app is 0~8°C, the temperature displayed is for the "RE" (refrigerator) zone. If the temperature setting range on the app is -12~-20°C, the temperature displayed is for the "FR" (freezer) zone.
