Safety Precautions

• The installation of DC power sources in a boat must be handled by a qualified electrician
• Make sure to connect power to the suitable voltage socket
• No electrical devices are to be used inside the product
• The product can be powered on only after being unpacked and put on a flat level surface for over 6 hours
• Fridge operating angle: The fridge can be operated indefinitely at up to 5 degrees, and can be operated at between 6 and 45 degrees for up to 30mins.
• Product must be well ventilated. Ensure there is a minimum of 200mm clearance at the back, and 100mm around the sides
• The product should be in a well-ventilated space, away from heat sources. Try to avoid direct exposure to sunlight
• Keep product stable
• When there is water inside the tank, do not turn the product upside down to empty. Dry the water, do not soak in water
• Do not put metal in the air inlet vent, outlet vent, or gap
• Do not connect with power except 12/24VDC, or the 240VAC to 12VDC power adapter (optional)
• Do not soak the product in water or wash with water
• The product should not be repaired. If there is any issues please consult the place of purchase
• Turn off the product before cleaning to avoid electric shocks or other issues
• Keep product away from wet or humid places

Dimensions

The product dimensions are illustrated with two views. The top view shows the overall length of 598mm, with an internal length of 350mm and internal height of 186mm. The front view shows an overall width of 320mm, with an internal width of 246mm and an overall height of 260mm.

Operation

Power Supply: Connect to 12V/24V DC power, 100-240V AC power (using the adapter), or use the detachable battery.

Display Screen Initialization: When the fridge is connected to the power supply, a buzzer will make a long beep, and the display will be on for two seconds before entering normal operating mode.

Power On/Off: Press [power-symbol] to switch ON/OFF.

Temperature Setting: Press + or - for temperature setting. The setting is saved automatically after stopping operation for 4 seconds. The temperature displayed is the current temperature of the compartment; it will take time to reach the set temperature. Temperature setting range: -20°C to +20°C (-4°F to 68°F).

Cooling Mode: Under the running state, press [cooling-mode-symbol] to switch between MAX (fast cooling) and ECO (Energy saving Mode). (Factory setting is MAX.)

Temperature Unit Setting: Switch off the fridge, long press [settings-gear-symbol] for three seconds until E1 displays. Keep pressing until E5 displays, then press + or - to select Celsius or Fahrenheit. (Factory setting is °C.)

Battery Protection Mode: Under the running state, long press [settings-gear-symbol] for three seconds until screen flashes, then press again to select protection mode H (High), M (Middle), and L (Low). (Factory setting is H.)

Voltage Reference and Battery Protection

The battery protection level (H, M, L) should be set according to the power source. Set to H when connected to car power, and M or L for portable batteries or back-up batteries. If a voltage protection code F1 is shown on the panel, the battery protection level can be adjusted from H to M or M to L. Set to H if the product must continue working after the car engine is turned off to prevent battery drain.

*The voltage is a theoretical value; there may be a deviation in different scenarios.

USB Output: +5V DC/1A, suitable for small devices like mobile phones, tablets, etc.

Reset: Switch off the fridge, long press [settings-gear-symbol] for three seconds until E1 displays. Under E1 mode, long press + and - at the same time for three seconds to reset the settings.

Power Supply and Charging

The refrigerator can be powered by 12V/24V DC power or 100-240V AC (with optional adapter). An optional removable Lithium battery can be used if there is no DC/AC power connection. DC/AC power will run the refrigerator and charge the battery simultaneously.

Battery Charging methods include: 12V/24V DC power, 100-240V AC with adapter, or solar panel (12V-50V).

Optional Removable Battery Information

Battery Level Indicator: Shows battery charge status (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%) and a Power Indicator. Includes a Power Switch.

Solar panel charge connection:

Insert the solar charge cable into the refrigerator's Solar charge interface. Max Solar input Voltage: 50V. Max Solar input Current: 10A.

Checking Charge Status

When the refrigerator is powered ON and DC/AC power is connected, the battery icon on the display screen will flash to show charging. To charge the fridge/freezer battery without running the compressor, connect the adapters without powering "ON" the fridge. To view charging status, press and hold [settings-gear-symbol] for 3 seconds. The fridge's battery status and voltage will be displayed. When the voltage reaches 12.6V and the battery icon stops flashing, the unit is fully charged. Disconnect wiring to prevent internal component damage.

[warning-symbol] Warning: Do not charge fridge/freezer with DC 12V and Solar Panel at the same time, as this could cause serious damage and pose a hazard.

AC Charging Management

If the fridge has not been used for a long time, the battery may be discharged and the fridge may not power on. Use the AC adapter to charge the battery and run the fridge. After the battery charges up to 30%, other charging methods can be used.

Car Cigarette Lighter Charging Management

The product features a three-level battery protection function to ensure normal operation and protect the vehicle's battery. When powered on, long press the SET button for 3 seconds. The display screen flashes H; select low voltage protection L (Low), M (Medium), and H (High) by clicking the [settings-gear-symbol]. The factory default is set to High protection.

Solar Charging Management

To ensure your fridge is being charged by a solar panel, turn the fridge on first. The battery icon will flash on the display screen to show charging status. The fridge can be turned off while charging. Press and hold [settings-gear-symbol] for over 3 seconds to check battery status and voltage. An extension cable may be needed to keep the fridge in a cool place (to avoid overheating) while the solar panel is in the sun.

Input power for charging should be higher than the refrigerator power draw (about 40-45W); otherwise, the optional battery will not charge simultaneously. A 100-Watt solar panel is advised to ensure charging power exceeds refrigerator working power.

Battery Usage

Optional Removable Battery: The lithium battery serves as backup power for short periods off-grid.

Notice: When not using the battery power or fridge for a long time, turn off the battery output (Hold setting button for 3 Sec).

Maintain Battery Charge:

1. Home / Hotel: Use AC adapter to charge unit from AC outlet.
2. Car / Boat: Use DC port to power the fridge and charge the battery.
3. Outdoor: Charge the battery with a solar panel (optional). A portable 12V power system, solar, or petrol generator would be good companions.

Extended battery usage:

1. Cool down the fridge before your journey: It is always suggested to charge the fridge battery and cool the fridge down in advance with the mains to DC adapter from the wall outlet the day before the trip. To prepare for off-grid fridge usage, place food and beverages inside the fridge for cooling the day before. This will not only keep the optional battery more durable but also save energy for outdoor activities once on battery mode.
2. Disconnecting the Battery: The battery can be removed or disconnected with the side button. This prevents the battery from discharging. The product will work from the AC adapter or car outlet without the optional battery installed. Note: Charge the optional battery fully before storing it for 1 month or more.

Smart Control Fridge App Application

Downloading the "BRASS MONKEY FRIDGE" Application: Use a pre-installed QR reader on your handheld smart device to scan the QR code in the manual or on the carton, or search for the "BRASS MONKEY FRIDGE" APP in the iTunes App Store (for Apple devices) or Google store (Android Devices).

Operation: Start the application and select the "Search" function. The application will prompt you to pair the fridge by pressing the set [settings-gear-symbol] button on the fridge's control panel. Once activated, the fridge will be paired with your smart device, and the application will switch to a control panel allowing you to control the fridge's functions.

The app control panel allows control over: Power ON/OFF, Temperature Display, °C/°F settings, Temperature Setting, Fast Cooling mode, Advanced settings, Energy saving mode, and Battery protection settings.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Unplug the device first to avoid electric shock.
• Use a wet cloth to clean the device and dry it.
• Do not soak the device in water and do not wash it directly.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as these can damage the device.

Storage:

If the device will not be in use for a long time, follow these steps:

• Turn off the power and remove the plug.
• Remove all items stored in the device.
• Wipe off excess water from the fridge with a soft rag.
• Put the device in a cool and dry place.
• Leave the door slightly open to prevent odors from forming.

Defrosting:

Humidity can form frost in the interior of the cooling device or on the evaporator, reducing cooling capacity. Defrost the device in good time to avoid this.

• Switch off the device.
• Take out the contents of the device.
• Keep the door open.
• Wipe off the defrosted water.

Disposal

Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever possible. If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling center or specialist dealer for details on how to do this in accordance with applicable disposal regulations.

Troubleshooting

The product is not working:

• If using the 240VAC to 12VDC adapter (sold separately), check the power supply is working.
• If using the DC cable, ensure the cable still works.
• Check the power supply is working.
• Check if the plug and socket are connected.
• Check the fuse.
• Check the power switch on the control panel is on.
• The compressor has a delay protection for 3 minutes after turning on.

Food inside the product is frozen:

• Temperature is set too low.

Water flowing sound inside the tank:

• Refrigerant is flowing, this is normal.

Water drops around the case or door gap:

• When moisture in the air meets the lower temperature case, it will naturally become liquefied and condensed. Wipe away with a towel or soft cloth.

Code F1 displayed:

• Low voltage protection, which can be solved by setting the battery protection button from H to M or from M to L.

Code F2 displayed:

• Fan overload protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

Code F3 displayed:

• Compressor frequent start protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

Code F4 displayed:

• Compressor is overloaded or working at a low speed. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

Code F5 displayed:

• High temperature compressor module protection. Please move the product to a ventilated area and turn it off for 30 minutes, then restart it. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

Code F6 displayed:

• No parameter can be detected by the controller. Please restart the product. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

Code F7 / F8 displayed:

• Temperature sensor error protection. Please check the sensor terminal.

Warranty

The warranty for this product is 2 years from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, the following are excluded from coverage:

• Intentional damage
• Damage by fire, flood, etc.
