5. Installation
Ensure the refrigerator is not damaged upon opening. Report any damage within 24 hours.
- When installing in a cavity/cabinet: Ensure adequate ventilation with minimal space at the rear (75mm), top (75mm), and sides (7.5mm). Suggested cabinet dimensions are 485x505x705mm (A1xC1xB1).
- Connect to a power supply: Connect directly to the vehicle 12/24VDC system. Use appropriate wire gauge based on wire length to the refrigerator (refer to table below).
- Push the refrigerator into cabinet: Carefully push the fridge into the cabinet, ensuring the power cable is not kinked or damaged.
- Mount the fridge with the cabinet wall: Use mounting points on the side of the refrigerator and drill corresponding holes in the cabinet. Secure with screws (M5, 15mm minimum) and screw covers. Four screws are required.
- Verify the installation: Check circuit continuity and perform electrical safety tests. Secure cables to prevent accidental disconnection and contact with heat sources or sharp objects.
A diagram illustrates cabinet dimensions and mounting points.
Wire Length to Refrigerator | Wire Gauge |
---|---|
Maximum 6m | 14AWG |
Maximum 11m | 12AWG |
Maximum 17m | 10AWG |
It is highly recommended that installation is carried out by a qualified person.

For prolonged disuse, disconnect power, empty, clean, and leave the door ajar to prevent mould and odours.
IMPORTANT: Do not use sharp objects to remove frost.
9. Appliance defrosting
Defrost the refrigerator when frost builds up to a thickness of more than three millimeters to ensure efficient operation and prevent increased electricity consumption. Turn off the fridge and leave the door open to speed up defrosting. Do not use mechanical devices or other means not recommended by the manufacturer to accelerate defrosting.
