Poolex Integrated WiFi Heat Pump: Configuration and Operation Manual
This manual guides you through the setup and operation of your Poolex integrated WiFi heat pump using the Smart Life application.
1. Downloading & Installing the «Smart Life» App
To remotely control your heat pump, you need to create a «Smart Life» account. The «Smart Life» app allows you to control your home appliances from anywhere, add multiple devices simultaneously, and manage them efficiently.
- Compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home (availability may vary by country).
- Share your configured devices with other «Smart Life» accounts.
- Receive real-time operational alerts.
- Create scenarios involving multiple devices, utilizing app weather data (geolocation required).
For more detailed information, refer to the «Help» section within the «Smart Life» app.
The «Smart Life» app and its services are provided by Hangzhou Tuya Technology. Poolstar, the owner and distributor of the Poolex brand, is not responsible for the operation of the «Smart Life» app and has no visibility into your «Smart Life» account.
iOS Devices:
Scan the QR code or search for «Smart Life» in the App Store to download the application.

Requires iOS 9.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Android Devices:
Scan the QR code or search for «Smart Life» in Google Play to download the application.

2. Setting up the «Smart Life» App
⚠️ ATTENTION: Before you begin, ensure you have downloaded the «Smart Life» app, are connected to your local WiFi network, and that your heat pump is electrically powered and operational.
Creating a «Smart Life» account is necessary for remote heat pump control. If you already have an account, log in and proceed directly to Step 3.
Step 1: Create New Account
Click on «Create new account». Choose your registration method: «Email» or «Phone». A verification code will be sent to you. Enter your email address or phone number and click «Send verification code».

Step 2: Verify Your Account
Enter the verification code received via email or phone to validate your account.
Congratulations! You are now part of the «Smart Life» community.
3. Adding Your Device (Pairing)
Step 3: Add a Room (Recommended)
Tap the «...» menu, then select «Add Object». Enter a name for the room (e.g., «Pool») and tap «Done».

Step 4: Add a Device to Your Room
Tap «Add» or the «+» icon, then select «Large appliances...», followed by «Water heater». Keep your smartphone on the «Add» screen and proceed to the pairing step with the control box.

Step 5: Activate Pairing Mode (WiFi Connection)
⚠️ ATTENTION: The «Smart Life» app only supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks. If your WiFi network uses the 5GHz frequency, configure your home WiFi interface to create a separate 2.4GHz network (available on most internet boxes, routers, and WiFi access points).
Note: The blinking indicator light will stop when the control box is successfully connected to WiFi.
Choose your WiFi network, enter its password, and tap «Confirm».

Step 6: Activate Pairing Mode on Your Heat Pump
The procedure depends on your control box model:
- Method 1: Press the «+» and «SET» buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The «SET» LED will flash quickly, indicating the control box is ready for pairing.
- Method 2: Press the «+» and «SET» buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The «SET» LED will flash quickly, indicating the control box is ready for pairing.

4. Controlling Your Heat Pump
Step 7: Pairing Complete
Return to the Smartlife app; the download will complete. If pairing was successful, you can rename your Poolex heat pump and tap «Done».
Congratulations! Your heat pump is now controllable from your smartphone.
3. Controlling Interface
The main control interface provides the following functions:
- Current pool temperature: Displays the real-time water temperature.
- Temperature setpoint: Set your desired water temperature.
- Current operating mode: Shows the active mode (e.g., Heat, Cool, Auto).
- Switch the heat pump on/off: Power the unit on or off.
- Change the temperature: Adjust the target temperature.
- Change the operating mode: Select a different operational mode.
- Set the operating range: Configure specific time slots for operation.

5. Configuring Operating Ranges
Step 1: Create a Schedule
Create a time schedule by selecting the time, day(s) of the week, and the desired action (turn on or off). Save the schedule.

Step 2: Delete a Time Slot
To delete a time slot, press and hold it.
Choice of Operating Modes
The following operating modes are available:
- Heat: Heating Inverter
- Cool: Cooling Inverter
- Auto: Heating & cooling inverter
- BoostHeat: Heating boost
- SilentHeat: Heating Eco Silence
- BoostCool: Cooling boost
- SilentCool: Cooling Eco
