1. Downloading & Installing the «Smart Life» App
About the Smart Life App
To control your heat pump remotely, you need to create a «Smart Life» account. The app allows you to control your home appliances from anywhere, add multiple devices, and receive real-time alerts. It is also compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home (country dependent). You can share devices with other «Smart Life» accounts and create scenarios based on app weather data (geolocation required).
For more information, refer to the «Help» section within the «Smart Life» app.
The «Smart Life» app and services are provided by Hangzhou Tuya Technology. Poolstar, as the owner and distributor of the Poolex brand, is not responsible for the app's operation or your «Smart Life» account.
iOS
To download the app, scan the QR code or search for «Smart Life» in the App Store.

2. Setting up the App
⚠️ ATTENTION: Before you begin, ensure you have downloaded the «Smart Life» app, are connected to your local WiFi network, and that your heat pump is electrically powered and running.
Creating a «Smart Life» account is necessary for remote control. If you already have an account, log in and proceed to Step 3.
Step 1: Create Account
Click on «Create new account» and choose to register by «Email» or «Phone». A verification code will be sent to you.
Enter your email address or phone number and click «Send verification code».

Step 2: Validate Account
Enter the verification code received by email or phone to validate your account.
Congratulations! You are now part of the «Smart Life» community.
3. Adding Device to Your Pool
Step 3 (Recommended): Add a Room
Tap «...» and then «Add Object» (or «Add Room»). Enter the name for the room (e.g., «Pool») and tap «Done».

Step 4: Add a Device
Tap «Add» or «+», then «Large appliances...», and then «Water heater». Leave your smartphone on the «Add» screen and proceed to the pairing step with the control box.

4. Pairing the Device
⚠️ ATTENTION: The «Smart Life» app only supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks. If your network uses 5GHz, create a separate 2.4GHz network on your router.
Note: The blinking light stops when the box is connected to WiFi.
Step 5: Activate Pairing
Choose your WiFi network, enter the password, and tap «Confirm».

Step 6: Activate Pairing Mode on Heat Pump
Follow the procedure for your control box model:
Press the SET and + buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The SET LED will flash quickly, indicating the control box is ready to be paired.

On your phone, go to WiFi settings and look for a network named «SmartLife-01E8» (or similar).

5. Controlling Your Heat Pump
Step 7: Complete Pairing
Return to the Smartlife app. The download will complete. If pairing was successful, you can rename your Poolex heat pump and tap «Done».
Congratulations! Your heat pump can now be controlled from your smartphone.
User Interface Overview
The app interface provides the following controls:
- ?️ Current pool temperature
- ? Temperature setpoint
- ⚙️ Current operating mode
- ▶️ / ⏹️ Switch the heat pump on/off
- ⬆️ / ⬇️ Change the temperature
- ⚙️ Change the operating mode
- ? Set operating ranges

6. Configuring Operating Ranges
Step 1: Create a Schedule
Create a schedule by choosing the time, day(s) of the week, and the action (turn on or off), then save.

Step 2: Delete a Time Slot
To delete a time slot, press and hold it.

- BoostHeat: Heating boost
- SilentHeat: Heating Eco Silence
- BoostCool: Cooling boost
