LG Trade Up OLED Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. Organizer

The organizer of the "LG Trade Up OLED" promotion is LG Electronics Deutschland GmbH, Alfred-Herrhausen-Allee 3-5, 65760 Eschborn (hereinafter referred to as the "Manufacturer").

2. Agreement to Terms

By participating in this promotion, the participant agrees to these terms and conditions.

3. Eligibility

Participation is exclusively for private, natural persons who are 18 years of age or older at the time of participation and who have purchased eligible products exclusively on LG.com during the promotion period. Purchases made through a damage-settling insurance, even if only by taking over partial amounts, are excluded from participation and will not be considered.

Retailers, whether large or small, are not eligible to participate, even if they act on behalf of groups of participants. Furthermore, purchases made through online auction platforms, purchases of used devices, marked B-stock, and purchases from private individuals not acting in the course of their commercial or independent professional activity are excluded from participation.

Purchases made at the regular retail price in the LG Electronics online shop remain eligible. The Manufacturer reserves the right to allow or disallow the combination of two parallel promotions in which LG Electronics is significantly involved.

The promotion is only valid for in-stock or immediately available promotional devices. The old device trade-in can only be carried out if all connections and cables are disconnected from the device and the power supply. The water tank (e.g., of a refrigerator) must also be emptied. The device must be freely accessible for the shipping company to ensure smooth removal. Otherwise, the device cannot be taken.

4. Eligible Models and Trade-Up Value

Please note that only in-stock or immediately available promotional devices are eligible for participation. The participating models can be found on the following website: LG.com Promotions.

If you wish to take advantage of the free old device trade-in, please be sure to select it additionally in the shopping cart for large appliances. Otherwise, the old device unfortunately cannot be taken.

If a customer insists on the old device trade-in but has not selected it in the shopping cart, and the shipping company has to travel to the customer a second time, LG will charge these additional costs. The costs will be based on the official delivery costs, ranging from €29 to €49 depending on the product group.

As part of the Trade-Up OLED campaign on LG.com, a premium is offered for trading in your old device. This can be redeemed directly in the shopping cart for participating models. Please note that you must return an old device for this. Please select the "Old device trade-in" option directly in the shopping cart.

5. Model Code Verification

It is the participant's responsibility to inform themselves in advance that the device has a model code that qualifies for participation in the promotion.

6. Promotion Period and Budget

The promotion runs from July 1, 2025, 0:00 AM to July 13, 2025, 11:59 PM ("Promotion Period") exclusively on LG.com. The promotion is only valid for in-stock or immediately available promotional devices and only as long as the allocated budget lasts. The Manufacturer reserves the right to shorten the promotion period if the budget allocated for the promotion is exhausted prematurely. It is the participant's responsibility to inform themselves whether the promotion period has been shortened or the budget has already been exhausted.

7. Purchase Requirement

To participate in the promotion, the eligible person must purchase one of the corresponding promotional devices during the promotion period and become the final owner of the device(s). Participation can be effected by purchasing a promotional device.

Should the promotion represent a taxable benefit for the participant, it is their responsibility to pay any applicable taxes.

8. Early Termination

In addition to the cases mentioned in points 3-7, the Manufacturer is entitled to terminate the promotion prematurely if proper execution of the promotion cannot be guaranteed for technical and/or legal reasons.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Manufacturer is liable only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence by themselves, their legal representatives, or vicarious agents, or by the breach of essential contractual obligations (so-called cardinal obligations) within the scope of the promotion. Essential obligations are those whose fulfillment is necessary to achieve the purpose of the promotion. In these cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typically occurring damage. The Manufacturer's liability for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected.

10. Severability Clause

If a provision of these terms and conditions becomes invalid, in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. An invalid provision shall be replaced by one that is compatible with applicable law and comes closest to the content of the invalid clause. The same applies to any gaps in regulation.

11. Governing Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.

12. Data Protection Information

The processing of data for participation in the promotion is carried out by the Manufacturer and Aqilo. The Manufacturer's Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo-eu@lge.com or by post at our postal address with the addition "Data Protection Officer".

You have the right to request information about your stored data at any time. Furthermore, you have the right to have your data corrected, blocked, or deleted, and the right to data portability, provided the legal requirements are met. You can revoke your consent to the storage and use of the collected data at any time with effect for the future by writing to dpo-eu@lge.com.

Please contact our Data Protection Officer directly regarding the assertion of your rights. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time. The supervisory authority responsible for the Manufacturer is: Hessian State Data Protection Commissioner, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden.

Your personal data, which you provide to us as part of your participation in the promotion (first and last name, e-mail address, bank details, model designation and serial number, date of purchase and purchase price, as well as a copy of the original invoice with the invoice date) will be collected, processed, and used solely for the purpose of carrying out the promotion. This data may be passed on to third-party service providers, integrated in a data protection compliant manner, for the purpose of processing the promotion, including the dispatch of reimbursements. The processing of data is based on your consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a) GDPR and according to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b) GDPR, as data processing is necessary for the execution of the promotion. After the promotion has ended, all stored data will be deleted.
