Carlson Portable Pet Pen with Small Pet Door

General Instructions

WARNING: To prevent serious injury or death, securely set up the pen and use it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Always check the pen regularly to ensure all straps and hinges are tightened and secured. Never leave a pet unattended in this product. Do not use with pets that can climb over or dislodge the enclosure. To prevent falls, never use the pen at the top of stairs. This is a pet pen, but when used around children, the small pet door must remain closed and securely latched. Discontinue use if parts are damaged, missing, or the product is broken. Do not use this product in temperatures less than 40°F (4.4°C) as damage may occur. This product will not necessarily prevent all accidents.

Care and Maintenance: Periodically check the pen for signs of damage, wear, or missing components. Do not use if any part is missing, worn, or damaged. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach. Clean with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not machine wash.

90 Days Limited Warranty: Carlson Pet Products, Inc. will replace or repair the item at its option if, within the first 90 days after consumer purchase, under reasonable and non-commercial use and maintenance conditions, it fails due to quality of materials or workmanship. Proof of purchase is required.

Setting Up Your Pet Pen

1. Step 1: Expand the pen. Note: For initial assembly, you may need to adjust strap tension by tightening or loosening buckles on the bottom hinges.
2. Step 2: Step down on the locking bar to complete the setup.

Removing Mesh Insert

1. Step 1: Unthread the strap from the buckle and base hinge until the strap is free. Repeat for remaining hinges. Note: It is easiest to remove the mesh insert when the pen is not fully expanded.
2. Step 2: Reach under the top hinge flap to disconnect the snaps. Repeat for remaining hinges.

Reattaching Mesh Insert

1. Step 1: Wrap the hinge cover flap over and under the hinge, and snap to the inner side of the hinge. Repeat for remaining hinges. Note: It is easiest to reattach the mesh insert when the pen is not fully expanded. Ensure the pet door is not aligned with the locking bar when reattaching.
2. Step 2: Thread the end of the strap through the slot on the bottom of the hinge up towards the buckle. Ensure the strap is not twisted.
3. Step 3: Buckle the strap as illustrated. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining buckles until the pen is securely fastened. Note: Do not tighten straps until all are in place at each corner and the pen is fully extended.

Folding Your Play Yard

1. Step 1: Lift up on both locking bars to release frame tension and collapse the frame. Wrap the buckle strap around the center of the play yard and tighten to secure.
