Getting Started:

Battery Fitting/Replacement

Slide the battery compartment cover down. Insert 3 x AAA 1.5V batteries, observing polarity. The alarm speaker will sound upon correct installation. Replace the cover securely.

Switching On/Off

The alarm turns on automatically when the cover is removed (silent start-up). To turn off, refit the cover; the alarm will emit a low tone and switch off.

Controls:

• V-Dial (Volume Control): Adjusts volume. The first setting is silent mode.
• T-Dial (Tone Control): Adjusts tone. The selected tone is replicated on the receiver.
• S-Dial (Sensitivity Control): Adjusts sensitivity.
• F-Button (Function Button):
  • Short Press: Enters intelligent mute mode (snag ears illuminate red-green-blue for 30 seconds, then re-arm). Pressing again exits mute mode.
  • Press and Hold: Cycles through LED colours (Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, White). Set by leaving for 5 seconds. Colour syncs with receiver and bivvy light.
• L-Button (Light Button):
  • Short Press: Adjusts LED brightness (Off, Low, Medium, High). Left/right LEDs indicate setting. Set by leaving for 5 seconds.
  • Quick Double Press: Activates/deactivates Night Glow LEDs (low brightness, matching alarm colour).

Functions in Use:

• Forward Indication: All four LEDs illuminate, speaker sounds.
• Backward Indication: Illuminated snag ears flash, speaker emits an interval tone.
• Low Battery Warning: Left/right LEDs flash red quickly 5 times after startup and every 10 minutes. Batteries should be replaced within 24 hours.
• Range Test Function: Press and hold F-Button and L-Button for ~3 seconds. Alarm transmits a test signal every 2 seconds, front LEDs illuminate. Receiver will sound if in range. Cancel by holding both buttons again for ~3 seconds.

Care and Notes:

• The alarm is designed to be weatherproof but should be allowed to dry indoors after heavy use.
• Maximum battery voltage should not exceed 5V to prevent component damage.
• Turn off the alarm when not in use to save battery life. Remove batteries for extended periods.
• Use good quality alkaline batteries for best performance.

Getting Started:

Battery Fitting/Replacement

Switching On/Off

Push the on/off switch away from the antenna to turn on (LEDs illuminate red-green-blue). Push towards the antenna to turn off.

Controls:

• V-Button (Volume Control): Press to cycle through 7 volume levels (lowest is silent).
• M-Button (Memory/Mode):
  • Press and hold for 2 seconds, then quick press to cycle through modes: 1. Light + Sound, 2. Light + Sound + Vibration, 3. Light + Vibration.
  • Press to recall the last recorded alert.
• T-Button (Torch): Press and hold for 2 seconds to enable/disable the torch function (four white LEDs illuminate).
• S-Button (Sync): Used for alarm synchronization.

Functions in Use:

• The receiver replicates the alarm's LED colour, speaker activation, and tone.
• Channel LED remains latched for 20 seconds.
• Drop-back indication shows a flashing channel LED and a lower speaker tone.
• Settings (channel, volume, mode) are retained even if batteries are removed.
• Each channel LED can pair with up to two alarms (max 8 alarms total).
• Anti-Theft Warning: If an alarm head is turned off, the affected channel LED and an audible alarm sound on the receiver. Press any button to deactivate.
• Low Battery Warning: Receiver LEDs flash red 5 times after startup and every 10 minutes. Alarm battery low is indicated by the receiver channel LED flashing red 5 times after alarm activation.

Synchronization:

Alarms should be pre-registered. To add/change registrations:

1. Switch on the GIZMO2 receiver.
2. Hold S-button until the first LED flashes red.
3. Turn on the alarm head to register.
4. The next channel LED flashes red; register the next alarm by turning it on.
5. Once all alarms are registered, press and hold S-button to exit.

Note: Restarting registration deletes previous pairings.

Notes:

• Maximum battery voltage should not exceed 5V.
• Receivers only respond to paired transmitters.
• Power off the receiver when not in use to conserve battery. Remove batteries for extended periods.
• Use good quality alkaline batteries for best performance.

Getting Started:

Switching On/Off

Hold the on/off button for 3 seconds to turn on (LEDs flash red-green-blue, white LEDs flash 3 times). Hold for 3 seconds in standby to turn off (white LEDs flash once).

LED Illumination

In standby mode, press the LED on/off button to use as a standard light.

Controls:

• On/Off Button: Controls power and standby mode.
• LED On/Off Button: Toggles standard light function.
• Brightness Button: Cycles through 4 brightness levels in standby mode. Centre LED indicates level.
• Delay Time Button: Cycles through 6 delay settings (5-40 seconds) in standby mode. Centre blue LED indicates level.
• Sync Button (S-Button): Used for synchronizing with alarms.

Functions in Use:

• When activated by an alarm, the light replicates the alarm's activation and colour.
• Brightness and delay time are user-selected.
• Light returns to standby after activation. Settings are retained if power is lost.
• Not designed for exterior use or wet conditions; allow to dry indoors.
• Anti-Theft Warning: Centre LED flashes the disconnected alarm's colour for 30 seconds. Deactivated by pressing any button.

Charging and Battery Status:

• Use USB-C cable for charging from a 5V CE-approved source. Centre LED flashes red while charging, turns green when fully charged. Ensure the light is dry before charging.
• Battery Level Indicators: Centre LED flashes green (4x for 100%, 3x for 75%, 2x for 50%) or red (4x for 25%) after startup.
• Low Battery Warning: Centre LED flashes red 5 times every 10 minutes in standby. Charge within 24 hours. Alarm battery low is indicated by the centre LED flashing red 5 times after alarm activation.

Synchronization:

Bivvy light should be pre-registered. To add/disconnect alarms:

1. Switch on the GIZMO2 Bivvy Light.
2. Hold S-button until the centre LED flashes red.
3. Turn on the alarm to register.
4. Centre LED stays illuminated with alarm colour for 2 seconds, then flashes red.
5. Turn on the next alarm to register. Repeat steps 5-7 until all alarms are registered.
6. Hold S-button to exit registration mode.

Note: Restarting registration deletes previous pairings. Up to eight alarms can be registered.

Maintenance and Storage:

• Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents.
• Regularly discharge/charge the internal battery to maintain its health. Perform a full charge cycle at least every three months.
• Store completely dry in a cool, dry place, charged to approximately 60% capacity. Long-term storage of discharged lithium batteries can cause irreparable damage.

Warnings:

• Do not use if liquid enters the casing, if the unit emits gas or unusual LED activation, if the cable is damaged, or if the casing is broken. Seek technical assistance.
