This guide provides comprehensive instructions for using the TTLock App with CATCHFACE smart locks.

1. How to Register
Download the TTLock app from Google Play or the App Store. Search for "TTLock APP".
Step 1: Tap on "Register" to begin.
Step 2: Fill in the required details (Email/Phone, Password, Country/Region). You will receive a verification code via email or phone. Enter this code and tap "Register".
Note: The TTLock app is required to use the lock. If professionally installed, ensure the homeowner performs this registration step.
2. Pairing Your Lock
Step 1: Open the TTLock app and tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top corner.
Step 2: Tap on "+ Add Lock".
Step 3: Select your lock type from the list (e.g., Door Lock, Padlock). Tap on "All Locks" if your type is not immediately visible.
Step 4: Tap the blue plus sign (+) to initiate the search for nearby locks. You may need to tap the lock's keypad to make it discoverable.
Note: The phone must be within 2 meters of the smart lock during the pairing process.
3. Lock Page Overview
The main lock page provides access to various functions:
- Unlock / Lock: Use your phone's Bluetooth to unlock or lock the device.
- Remote Unlock: Unlock remotely if a gateway is connected nearby.
- Passcodes: Generate and manage up to 6 different types of passcodes.
- eKeys: Send and manage eKeys for other users.
- Fingerprints: Set up, view, and modify fingerprints.
- Cards: Set up and manage IC cards or wristbands.
- Remote: Pair and use a wireless remote to interact with the lock.
- Records: View entry logs, including times, attempts, and methods.
- Authorized Admin: Create and manage administrator accounts.
- Settings: View and modify lock settings.
Note: Some icons may not appear if the Gateway is not connected.
4. App Unlock / Lock
To unlock the lock, tap the unlock icon once. To lock the lock, press and hold the icon.
Note: This functionality works within Bluetooth range of the lock. For remote unlock/lock information, refer to the Gateway Guide.
5. Passcodes
Generate various types of passcodes through the app. Pay attention to the instructions for generating codes to avoid issues.
Step 1: Navigate to the "Passcodes" section in the app.
Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions to generate a passcode.
Passcode Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- One-time: Lasts for a single use.
- Custom: Allows you to choose specific digits (e.g., 156432), can be permanent or timed.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled hours weekly.
- Erase: Removes all codes from the lock.
Note: To generate custom codes, your phone must be within Bluetooth range of the lock, unless a Gateway is connected. You can edit passcode details (number, validity, name) and view records.
6. Add IC Cards
You can add IC cards or wristbands to your lock.
Step 1: Tap on "Cards" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "Add Card".
Step 3: Choose the validity period for the card.
Step 4: When prompted, swipe the card on the lock's keypad.
Step 5: If you hear "input successful", the card is ready to unlock your lock.
Card Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled hours weekly.
Note: IC cards can be programmed to work with multiple CATCHFACE locks.
7. Add Fingerprints
Register fingerprints for keyless entry.
Step 1: Tap on "Fingerprints" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "Add Fingerprints".
Step 3: Select the fingerprint type (Permanent, Timed, Recurring) based on your desired validity period.
Step 4: Tap "Start" and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to place your finger on the sensor multiple times (typically 4).
Fingerprint Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled hours weekly.
Experiencing issues with fingerprint recognition?
- Ensure the sensor surface is clean.
- Try a different finger.
- Ensure your finger is sufficiently moist.
- Try removing and reinserting the batteries.
8. eKeys
Share app access to your lock with other TTLock account users. eKey recipients can unlock/lock the lock using their phone.
Note: It is recommended that recipients register for a TTLock account first.
Step 1: Tap on "eKeys" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "+ Send eKey".
Step 4: Enter the recipient's username (phone number or email used during registration). eKeys can be sent or revoked without needing Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
eKey Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- One-time: Lasts for one use.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled hours weekly.
9. Authorized Admin
Authorized Admins have more extensive control over the lock compared to eKeys. They can:
- Unlock or lock via the app.
- Generate, edit, and delete passcodes, IC cards, and fingerprints.
- Adjust settings like passage mode, auto-lock timer, and lock sound.
Step 1: Tap on "Authorized Admin" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "+ Create Admin".
Step 4: Enter the recipient's username (phone number or email used during registration).
Admin eKey Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
10. Passage Mode
Passage mode keeps the lock unlocked for a specified period until manually locked. Follow these steps to set it up:
Step 1: Tap on "Settings" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "Passage Mode" to enter its settings.
Step 3: Turn on Passage Mode and follow the app's instructions to set the validity period.
11. Auto Lock
The lock automatically locks itself 5 seconds after being opened by default. You can adjust this auto-lock time:
Step 1: Tap on "Settings" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "Auto Lock" to access its settings.
Step 3: Tap on "Delay time" and select your desired auto-lock duration from the options provided.
Note: The lock will lock automatically after the set time. Ensure you unlock it first if you need to make changes.
12. Lock Settings
Familiarize yourself with these settings:
- Basics: View and change information like the Lock Name.
- Remote Unlock: Remotely unlock/lock your lock when a Gateway is connected.
- Lock Sound: Adjust the volume of the lock's sound alerts.
- Import from another lock: Transfer passcodes and cards between locks.
- Delete: Remove the lock from your account and clear its settings. This action requires you to be near the lock.
13. Wireless Remote
Pair and use a wireless remote for unlocking and locking.
Step 1: Tap on "Remote" in the app.
Step 2: Tap on "+ Add Remote".
Step 3: Long-press the locking key of the wireless remote for 5 seconds. Click "Next" on the app when the remote's indicator light flashes quickly.
Step 4: Select the Wireless Remote type (Permanent, Timed, Recurring) based on your needs and follow the app instructions to complete pairing.
Remote Types:
- Permanent: Lasts permanently.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled hours weekly.
14. Integrations
CATCHFACE smart locks are compatible with popular smart home platforms:
- Google Assistant
- Amazon Alexa
Scan the provided QR code to learn how to connect your locks.
15. Gateway
The Gateway connects your nearby locks to your local Wi-Fi, enabling remote control and enhanced features:
- Receive unlock notifications anywhere.
- Remote unlock/lock functionality.
- Access to lock logs.
- Generate/edit/delete custom guest codes.
- Access to the web portal version of the app.
- Check battery levels remotely.
Get your Gateway by scanning the QR code.
16. FAQs
Q: I entered a code or fingerprint incorrectly too many times, and my lock won't accept new inputs.
A: Unlock the lock once via the app or wait 5 minutes for the lock to reset.
Q: How can I manually lock the lock?
A: Press and hold the lock button (often represented by '#') to lock the device.
Q: How do I share access of the lock on 2 different phones?
A: Refer to the "eKeys" or "Authorized Admin" sections of this guide.
Q: Installation completed, but there is no power on the smart lock ?
A:
- Ensure you are using 4x AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old/new batteries or different brands.
- Check battery orientation (positive pole upward).
- Verify internal wiring connections are secure.
Q: Does it have a low battery warning ?
A: The app will send a notification when the battery is low. Additionally, there is a power bank connection port at the end of the front handle for backup power.
Q: How do I keep the lock in the unlocked status ?
A: Go to "Settings" in the app and set up the lock under "Passage Mode".
