Before Using Your Kettle
For first-time use, clean the kettle by boiling the maximum capacity of water and discarding it twice. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
The maximum capacity of this kettle is 1.7 litres.
Using Kettle to Boil Water
- Place the kettle and power base on a flat surface.
- To fill, remove the kettle from the base, open the lid by pressing the lid release button, fill with the desired amount of water (between Min and Max levels), and close the lid. Too little water will cause the kettle to switch off before boiling.
- Note: Do not fill water above the 'maximum' line, as it may spill from the spout when boiling. Ensure the lid is firmly in place before plugging in.
- Plug into the power outlet; the light bar will blink.
- Position the kettle on the power base. The light bar and the 100°C button indicator light will turn on.
- To boil to 100°C without a pre-set temperature, press the power button directly. The kettle starts heating, and indicator lights for the 100°C button, power button, and light bar will be on.
- After heating, a beep will be heard, and the kettle will stop working automatically.
Boiling Tips
- Press the power button to stop the kettle during heating.
- The kettle enters sleep mode if removed from the base or if there is no operation for over 3 minutes during heating. Replace it on the base and press any button to enter standby mode.
Using Kettle with Pre-set Temperature
Select a pre-set temperature using the temperature buttons (70°C, 80°C, or 90°C).
- Select a pre-set temperature; its corresponding indicator light turns on.
- Press the power button; the kettle starts heating.
- When the water reaches the pre-set temperature, a beep will sound. The kettle stops heating and automatically enters keep-warm mode.
- The kettle will keep the water warm for 30 minutes. Indicator lights for the selected temperature button, keep warm button, and light bar will be on.
- After this period, all indicator lights turn off, and the kettle enters sleep mode. Press any button to enter standby mode.
- Lift the kettle from the power base and pour the water.
- Note: Operate carefully when pouring boiling water, as it may cause scalds. Do not open the lid while the water is hot.
Pre-set Temperature Tips
- The kettle will reheat water to the pre-set temperature if it drops 5°C below it during the keep-warm process. For example, if 70°C is set, it will reheat to 70°C if the temperature drops below 65°C.
- Press the power button or keep warm button to stop the keep-warm function.
- If the kettle is removed from the base for more than 3 minutes while keeping warm, replacing it on the base will resume keeping warm based on the pre-set temperature.
General Tips
- Hold and press the power button for 2 seconds to enter sleep mode.
- Press any button to enter standby mode.
- The kettle can be stored on the power base when not in use.
- Always disconnect the power supply when not in use.
Cleaning & Care
Always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet and let it cool completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse or submerge the kettle, power cord, or power base in water, or allow moisture to contact these parts.
- Wipe the kettle's exterior with a damp cloth or cleaner. Do not use abrasive or poisonous cleaners.
- Clean the filter periodically. Detach it by pressing the tab inside the kettle and replace it after cleaning.
- CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden, or abrasive cleaners on the outside of the kettle to prevent loss of gloss.
Boil-Dry Protection
If the kettle operates without water, the temperature sensor detects temperatures exceeding 105°C, and the kettle stops heating. All indicator lights will blink as a warning. Allow the kettle to cool before refilling with cold water and re-boiling.
Removal of Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits from tap water can form scale, reducing efficiency. Use a commercially available descaler or follow these instructions using white vinegar:
- Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar, then add water to cover the bottom completely.
- Leave the solution in the kettle overnight, then discard it.
- Fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum position, run to boil, and discard the water.
- Repeat step 3 several times until the vinegar odour is flushed away. Any remaining stains in the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
Disposal
This symbol [♻️] indicates that this appliance should not be disposed of with household waste. To prevent harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
