  1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
  2. Remove all packaging material (foils, filler, cardboard).
  3. Check the appliance for any transport damage. Do not operate if damaged; contact your distributor.

NOTE: Production residue or dust may have collected on the appliance. Clean it according to the "Cleaning and Maintenance" chapter.

Overview of the Appliance

Appliance features

The appliance includes a spray arm, detergent dispenser, cutlery basket, filter system, rinse aid dispenser, dishwasher basket, and cub shelves. It also has connections for the inlet and drain hoses.

Delivery scope

Cutlery basket, cub shelves (2 pcs), funnel tube, inlet hose.

Installation

WARNING: Do not connect the unit to the mains during installation to avoid danger to life or electric shock hazard.

CAUTION: For correct operation, the appliance must be connected properly. Water supply, drain, and electrical connection specifications must meet the required criteria.

Installation location

Water connection

CAUTION: Installation must conform to local laws and regulations. Use the new supplied hose set; do not reuse old ones. If the water pipe is new or long unused, ensure water is clear before connecting.

Notes on inlet hose safety system: This system has a double-walled inlet hose to cut off water supply in case of leakage. An inlet hose safety system can be ordered from your dealer or online shop (www.bomann-germany.de) using the reference number from "Technical Data".

Connect the water inlet hose (cold water connection) to a 3/4" cold water thread. Ensure a tight fit. Connect the other end to the appliance's inlet valve.

NOTE: Water pressure must be between 0.04 and 1 MPa. Use a pressure regulator if pressure is higher.

Hot water supply

The dishwasher can be supplied with water up to 60°C. Using hot water shortens rinse times but may slightly reduce cleaning effectiveness. Connect to the hot water valve similarly to the cold water connection.

Connect the water drain hose

NOTE: The drain hose is approx. 1.5 m long and can be extended to a maximum of 4 m with a suitable hose and connecting piece.

CAUTION: To prevent backflow of contaminated water, the free end of the hose must not come under the water level of the drain.

Electrical connection

WARNING: Installation must conform to local standards and regulations. Improper connection may cause electric shock. Do not use multiple sockets or extension cords. Do not modify the plug. If the plug does not fit, have a proper outlet installed by a specialist. Ensure the power plug is accessible for emergency disconnection. Verify your mains power matches the appliance specifications.

Prior Using for the first Time

Before using your dishwasher for the first time:

  1. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.
  2. Fill in detergent.

CAUTION: Use only rinse aid and detergent for dishwashers. Other products may damage the appliance. Follow dosage and storage recommendations.

WARNING: Keep rinse aid and detergent out of reach of children.

A. Fill the rinse aid dispenser

Function of rinse aid: Rinse aid is automatically added during the final rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing and spot/streak-free drying.

When to refill: The rinse aid warning lamp on the control panel lights up when the dispenser needs refilling. The optical level indicator "D" shows the remaining amount. When full, the indicator is dark. As rinse aid diminishes, the black dot changes size. Refill when the level drops below 1/4 to avoid spotting.

Fill in the rinse aid:

  1. Unscrew the lid counterclockwise to open and remove it.
  2. Add rinse aid, being careful not to overfill. The dispenser holds approx. 110 ml.
  3. Replace the lid and turn it clockwise to close.

NOTE: Remove spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to avoid excessive foaming. Replace the lid before closing the appliance door.

Adjusting the rinse aid dosage

If spots form or dishes dry poorly, increase the rinse aid dosage. Levels range from 1 (min.) to 6 (max.). The factory setting is "4".

NOTE: Increase dosage for water drops or lime spots. Reduce dosage for sticky whitish stains or a bluish film on glassware/knife blades.

B. Fill in detergent

NOTE: The appliance is suitable for multi-functional tablets with an additional water softener, as it lacks a built-in softener.

Function of detergent: Detergents remove dirt, break it down, and transport it out of the dishwasher.

Detergent tablets (tabs): Different brands dissolve at different rates. In short programs with low temperatures, they may not fully dissolve. For complete removal, choose longer programs with higher temperatures. Follow manufacturer instructions.

Detergent dispenser: Refill before each rinse cycle. Press the release button to open.

Notes for filling the detergent:

Loading the Dishwasher Basket

CAUTION: Only rinse dishes and cutlery marked as "dishwasher resistant".

NOTE: Remove gross food scraps and soak burnt leftovers. Pre-rinsing is not necessary. Do not overload for adequate cleaning and energy efficiency. Small items may fall out of the basket.

Items not suitable for dishwashers:

Recommendations for loading:

Method for loading standard dishes

The basket accommodates cups, bowls, glasses, saucers, dishes, oval platters, dinner plates, and soup plates. The cutlery basket is also included.

Cutlery basket

WARNING: Risk of injury! Cutlery must not protrude above the cutlery basket base. Knives and sharp utensils must be placed tip-down or horizontally.

NOTE: Remove the basket if necessary to create space for larger dishware. The basket has mesh inserts for uniform cutlery arrangement with handles at the bottom. Very long items should be placed in the dishwasher basket.

Starting a rinse program

Program change

CAUTION: A program change should only be done shortly after starting. Otherwise, detergent may have been released, and rinse water drained.

Forgot to add a dish?

WARNING: Open the door very carefully during operation due to the risk of water squirting out.

Dishware can be added any time before the detergent dispenser opens.

At the end of program

CAUTION: Allow the appliance to cool down slightly after the program ends before opening it to avoid steam damage to furniture.

A series of signals will sound at the end of the rinse cycle, and the unit will enter standby mode. After about 30 minutes of inactivity, the appliance switches off automatically.

Switch off

Unloading the dishwasher basket

CAUTION: Let the dishware cool down for about 15 minutes before unloading, as hot dishes are sensitive to knocks.

NOTE: There might still be water drops inside the appliance at the end of the program. Open the appliance door and pull out the basket for unloading.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING: Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug or fuse before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool down. Do not use steam cleaners; moisture can enter electrical components, risking electric shock. Hot steam can damage plastic parts. Ensure the appliance is dry before restarting.

CAUTION: Do not use wire brushes or sharp, abrasive items. Do not use acidic or abrasive detergents.

NOTE: Dirty filters and blocked spray arms degrade rinsing performance. Regularly check and clean them.

Filter system

The three-part filter system prevents larger food particles from entering the pump.

Cleaning the filter system

CAUTION: Never use the dishwasher without the filter. Improper filter replacement reduces performance and can damage the appliance. Do not knock out the filter during cleaning to avoid deformation.

NOTE: Check the filter for residues after each rinse.

Cleaning the spray arm

Lime and impurities can block spray arm nozzles and bearings. Regularly check the spray arm outlet nozzles for blockages.

Maintenance of the dishwasher

CAUTION: Never use spray cleaners to clean the door panel, as this may damage the door lock and electrical components.

Filter clogged Check the filter system.
Kitchen sink clogged Check kitchen sink drainage. A specialist may be needed.
Noise Some audible sounds are normal (e.g., detergent dispenser opening).
Dishware not secured Secure dishware in the dishwasher.
Spray arm hits tableware Arrange items so the spray arm rotates freely.
Suds in the tub Improper detergent Use only special dishwasher detergent. If suds occur, open the door, let suds evaporate, add approx. 4 liters of cold water, close the door, and start a short rinse cycle to drain.
Spilled rinse agent Wipe up rinse agent spills immediately.
Stained tub interior Detergent with colorant used Use detergent without colorant.
Dishes and flatware not clean Improper program Select a stronger program.
Improper basket loading Ensure the detergent dispenser and spray arm are not blocked by large dishes.
Spots and filming on glasses and flatware Extremely hard water, low inlet temperature, overloading, improper loading, old/damp detergent, empty rinse dispenser, incorrect detergent dosage To remove spots: Take out metal items, do not add detergent, select a longer rinse cycle. Start dishwasher and let it run for 15 mins to the main rinse. Open door, pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the bottom. Close door and let cycle complete. If ineffective, repeat with 1/4 cup (60 ml) citric acid crystals instead of vinegar.
Cloudiness on glassware Soft water and too much detergent Use less detergent with soft water and select a short rinse cycle.
Yellow or brown film on inside surface Tea or coffee stains Clean stains by hand with a solution of 1/2 cup bleach and 3 cups warm water.
Iron deposits in water Call a water softener company for a special filter.
White film on inside surface Hard water minerals Clean interior with a damp sponge and dishwasher detergent. Wear rubber gloves.
Detergent dispenser not closing properly Clogged detergent residue blocking the catch Clean detergent from the catch.
Detergent left in dispenser Dishes block the dispenser Reload the dishes.
Steam Normal Some steam escaping through the vent by the door latch during drying and water draining is normal.
Black or grey marks on dishware Aluminum utensils rubbed against dishware Use a mild abrasive cleaner to remove marks.
Water standing on the bottom of the tub Normal A small amount of clean water around the outlet on the tub bottom keeps the water seal lubricated.
Dishwasher leaks Overfilled dispenser or rinse aid spills Do not overfill the dispenser. Spilled rinse aid can cause oversudsing and overflow.

Error codes

Malfunctions may display error codes:

Prog. control lamp Meaning Possible cause
Pre-rinse flickers fleetly Longer inlet time Water tap not opened, water supply blocked, or low water pressure.
Eco flickers fleetly Overflow Dishwasher element is leaking.

CAUTION: If overflow occurs, turn off the main water supply before calling a technician. If water is in the lower housing due to overfilling or a leak, remove it before restarting.

NOTE: If a problem persists after following these steps, contact your distributor or an authorized technician.
