FC & ESC Connection
The Flight Controller (FC) and Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) can be connected using two methods:
Method 1 - Using 8-pin cable
Utilize the provided 8-pin JST cable to connect the FC and the ESC. The diagram shows a connection between an F7 V3 Flight Controller and a BL32 50A 4-in-1 ESC, illustrating the 8-pin cable linkage.
Method 2 - Direct soldering
Alternatively, solder 8 wires directly to the corresponding pads on both the FC and ESC. The diagram shows the F405 V3 Flight Controller being connected to the BLS 50A 4-in-1 ESC. The pads on the FC are labeled GND, N/A, BTA, CURRENT, M1, M2, M3, M4, CUR, TEL, S4, S3, S2, S1, VBTA, GND, and the corresponding pads on the ESC are similarly mapped.

App & FC Configuration
The SpeedyBee App facilitates FC configuration. Users can search for 'SpeedyBee' on Google Play or the App Store, or download the Android .apk file from the SpeedyBee website: https://www.speedybee.com/download.
The FC configuration process involves:
- Opening the SpeedyBee App and tapping 'Get Started'.
- Selecting the device type.
- Choosing connection method (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth).
- Finding and connecting to the SpeedyBee F405 V3.
FC Firmware Update
The SpeedyBee F405 V3 flight controller does not support wireless firmware flashing. Firmware must be flashed via a PC:
- Connect the flight controller to the PC using a USB cable.
- Open a configurator like Betaflight, Emuflight, or INAV.
- Navigate to the 'Firmware Flashing' page, select the target 'SPEEDYBEEF405V3', and flash the firmware. A screenshot shows the Betaflight configurator interface for this process.

Part 3 - SpeedyBee BLS 50A 4-in-1 ESC
Layout
The SpeedyBee BLS 50A 4-in-1 ESC features the following layout:
- Top Side: Displays driver chips, MOTOR 1, MOTOR 2, MOTOR 3, and MOTOR 4 output pads. It also includes capacitor pin holes for GND and BAT+, and a BAT- connection point.

Connection with Motors & Power Cable
The ESC connects to four motors via the MOTOR 1-4 pads. The power input is handled by an XT60 Power Cable connected to the BAT+ and GND terminals. A 1500uF Low ESR Capacitor is recommended to be connected across the BAT+ and GND terminals to prevent voltage spikes during power-up.
Note: To prevent the stack from being burnt out by voltage spikes on powering up, it is strongly recommended to use the Low ESR capacitor included in the package.
ESC Configuration
ESC configuration can be performed using the SpeedyBee App. The process involves:
- Opening the app.
- Tapping 'Start Connecting'.
- Selecting the connection method (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth).
- Finding and connecting to the SpeedyBee F405 V3.
For PC-based configuration, the SpeedyBee ESC Configurator is recommended.
ESC Firmware Update
It is recommended to use the ESC Configurator on a PC to update the firmware for this ESC. Ensure that 'JH-50' is selected as the ESC type for either BLHeli_S or Bluejay firmware.
