3.1 Removing the Transit Bolts

Diagram shows 4 transit bolts being removed from the rear of the machine.

Before operating, remove the 4 transit bolts and rubber spacers from the rear. Failure to do so can cause vibration, noise, malfunction, and void warranty.

  1. Loosen the transit bolts anticlockwise with a spanner.
  2. Remove the transit bolts with a straight pull.
  3. Fit the plastic blanking caps into the gaps. Store transit bolts for future use.

NOTE: Remove transit bolts before first use. Faults due to fitted bolts are out of warranty.

3.2 Adjusting the Feet / Adjusting Adjustable Stays

Diagram shows adjusting the machine's feet to level it.

  • Do not install on surfaces (like carpet) that prevent ventilation at the base.
  • Install on a firm surface for silent and vibration-free operation.
  • Level the machine using the adjustable feet. Loosen the plastic locking nut.
  • To increase height, turn feet clockwise. To decrease, turn anticlockwise.
  • Once level, tighten locking nuts clockwise.
  • Never insert cardboard, wood, or similar materials under the machine to level it.
  • Be careful not to disturb the machine's level when cleaning the floor.

3.3 Electrical Connection

Diagram shows a plug connecting to a wall socket.

  • Requires a 220-240V, 50Hz supply.
  • The earthed plug must be inserted into an earthed 10 amp socket.
  • If you do not have a suitable socket/fuse, use a qualified electrician.
  • Manufacturer is not responsible for damage from ungrounded equipment.

NOTE: Low voltage reduces machine life and performance.

3.4 Water Inlet Hose Connection

Diagram shows connecting the water inlet hose to the machine and the tap. It indicates single (white) and double (white/red) connections and hose lengths.

  • Your machine may have a single (cold) or double (hot and cold) water inlet connection. The white capped hose connects to the cold inlet, and the red capped hose to the hot inlet (if applicable).
  • To prevent leaks, use the supplied nuts (1 or 2) at the water supply connection.
  • Connect new water inlet hoses to a 3/4" threaded tap.
  • Connect the white capped end of the hose to the white water inlet valve on the machine, and the red capped end to the red water inlet valve (if applicable).
  • Hand tighten connections. Consult a plumber if unsure.
  • Water flow of 0.1-1 Mpa is optimal (0.1 Mpa = >8 litres/min).
  • Turn water supply on carefully and check for leaks.
  • Ensure hoses are not trapped, kinked, twisted, folded, or crushed.
  • If a hot water inlet is present, the supply temperature should not exceed 70°C.

NOTE: Use only the supplied fill hose. Do not reuse old hoses.

(*) Washing water temperature of the programme is the factory default.

(**) If your machine has the rapid wash auxiliary function, you can enable the quick wash option on the display panel and load the machine with 2 kg or less laundry to wash it in 30 minutes.

(***) Due to the short washing time of this programme, we recommend that less detergent is used. The programme may last longer than 15 minutes if your machine detects an uneven load. You can open the door of your machine 2 minutes after the completion of a washing operation.

According to regulation 1015/2010 and 1061/2010, the programme 1 and programme 2 are respectively the 'Standard 60°C cotton programme' and the 'Standard 40°C cotton programme'. The Eco 40-60 programme cleans normally soiled cotton laundry declared to be washable at 40°C or 60°C, together in the same cycle, and is used to assess compliance with EU ecodesign legislation.

Energy and Water Consumption Table

The most efficient programmes generally use lower temperatures and longer durations. Loading to capacity saves energy and water. Program duration, energy/water consumption vary by load, type, functions, tap water, and ambient temperature. Use liquid detergent for low-temperature programs. Adjust detergent amount based on load/dirtiness. Higher spin speeds increase noise and decrease moisture content. Access product database via QR code on energy label.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

7.1 Warning

Turn off mains power and unplug before maintenance. Turn off water supply.

CAUTION: Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaners, as they may damage plastic surfaces.

7.2 Water Inlet Filters

Water inlet filters prevent dirt and foreign materials from entering the machine. Clean them when the machine receives insufficient water, even if the water supply is on. Recommended cleaning every 2 months.

  • Unscrew the water inlet hose(s) from the machine.
  • Use long-nosed pliers to gently pull the filter from the water inlet valve.
  • A second filter is located at the tap end of the hose. Use pliers to pull it out.
  • Clean the filter with a soft brush, soapy water, and rinse thoroughly. Re-insert gently.

CAUTION: Clogged filters due to water quality or lack of maintenance may cause breakdown or leaks. Such breakdowns are out of warranty.

7.3 Pump Filter

Diagrams show the pump filter and its removal/cleaning process.

The pump filter prolongs pump life by preventing lint entry. Recommended cleaning every 2 months. The filter is behind the cover on the front-lower right corner.

To clean the pump filter:

  1. Use the powder spade or liquid detergent level plate to open the pump cover.
  2. Lodge the end of the spade/plate in the opening and press backwards; the cover will open.
  3. Place a container under the cover to collect any residual water.
  4. Loosen the filter anticlockwise and remove by pulling. Wait for water to drain.

NOTE: You may need to empty the water collection container multiple times.

  1. Remove foreign materials from the filter with a soft brush.
  2. After cleaning, re-fit the filter by inserting and turning clockwise.
  3. Ensure mountings align when closing the pump cover.
  4. Close the filter cover.

WARNING: Water in the pump may be hot; wait until cooled before cleaning.

(*) Specifications may vary.

7.4 Detergent Drawer

Diagrams show removing and cleaning the detergent drawer and its components.

Detergent can cause build-up. Remove and clean the drawer every 2 months.

  • Dry the drawer with a towel or dry cloth.

Do not wash your detergent drawer in a dishwasher.

Liquid detergent apparatus: Remove, clean residues, and replace. Ensure no residual material remains inside the siphon. (*) Specifications may vary.

8. Body / Drum

Diagrams show the machine's body and drum.

  1. Body: Clean the external casing with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner or soap and water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  2. Drum: Do not leave metallic objects (needles, paper clips, coins) in the machine, as they cause rust stains. Clean rust stains with a non-chlorine cleaner, following manufacturer's instructions. Never use wire wool or similar hard objects.

9. TROUBLESHOOTING

Repair should be carried out by an authorized service company. If issues persist, unplug the machine and turn off the water supply.
