APP Printing Quick Start Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for using the Jadens Printer app to connect and print with your portable printer.
Step 1: Download the Jadens Printer App
Scan or search for "Jadens Printer" in your smartphone's app store to download the application.
? Tip: The app UI may update, so always download the latest version.
Step 2: Enable Bluetooth and Location Services
On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth ? and Location Services ?. These are required for secure printing and data protection.
The app requires permissions for Bluetooth, Location, and Nearby Devices. These permissions are necessary for the printer to connect and will not compromise your privacy. Refer to the user agreement for details.

Step 3: Grant App Permissions
When prompted, allow the "Jadens Printer" app to access your device's location. You can choose between "Precise" or "Approximate" location, and select "While using the app" or "Only this time".
You will also be asked to allow "Jadens Printer" to find, connect to, and determine the relative position of nearby devices. Granting these permissions is necessary for the app to function correctly with the printer.
The app may also request to turn on Bluetooth. Grant these permissions as needed.

Step 4: Add Your Printer
Turn on your printer. Open the Jadens Printer app and tap the "➕ Add a device" button to begin the connection process.

Step 5: Connect the Printer
The app will search for nearby devices. Once your printer, identified as "JD-136", is found, tap "Connect" ?.
Option 1: Your printer will appear automatically in the app. Simply tap "Connect".
Option 2: Alternatively, double-click the printer's power button to print a QR code. Then, scan this QR code within the app to connect the printer.

Step 6: Access Paper Settings
After successfully connecting your printer, tap "More settings" (or its equivalent in other languages) to access paper configuration options.

Step 7: Choose Paper Type and Width
In the "More Settings" menu, select your desired paper type: "Roll paper" or "Folded paper".
Choose from the available paper widths, such as US Letter (8.5" x 11"), A4 (8.23" x 11.7"), 4" x 6", or 3" x 5". You can also tap the "+" icon to customize the paper width.

Step 8: Select Printing Options
Choose from the various printing options available in the app:
- File ?: Print documents like Word, PDF, Excel, PPT, and TXT.
- Image ?️: Supports JPG and PNG image formats.
- Template: Create content using provided templates.
- DIY: Create custom content with your own text or images.
- Graphic: Print provided charts or diagrams.
- Print Web: Print content from web pages.
- Micro Text: Print small text margins on a single page.
- Scan Image: Use your phone's camera to scan an image for printing.
- Image to Text: Recognize and extract text from an image for printing.
- Banner: Create word banners by printing text across the full page width.
- Scan Code: Scan existing barcodes or QR codes ? to print them.

Step 9: Preview and Print
When printing from a File ? or Image ?️, utilize the different preview modes (e.g., Fixed, Dynamic) to visualize the output. Select the mode that provides the best printing effect before proceeding.
? Tip: If you receive documents (PDF files) from platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, you can open them directly and print them immediately. After receiving the file in a dialogue box, tap the file to open it, then select "Open in Another App" and choose the "Jadens Printer" app.

Paper Compatibility and Supplies
The printer is compatible with printing paper widths ranging from 57mm to 216mm (2.21 inches to 8.5 inches).

- Rolled Thermal Paper: Available in various sizes, including 2", 3", 4", A4, and US Letter.
- Folded Thermal Paper: Available in A4 and US Letter sizes.
