Insulating distribution cabinet XL³ HP 160

1. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

The XL³ HP 160 cabinets are designed for energy distribution up to 160A. Constructed from insulating material, they are supplied ready for installation and feature:

• Insulating faceplates with a 1/4 turn lock mechanism.
• A removable chassis equipped with mounted rails and a vertical wiring circulation strap for each row.
• An automatic connection earth terminal block.

• Limited power connection kits (single/three-phase) Cat.No 1KTB424 or three-phase Cat.No 1KTB324.
• Monitored power connection kits (Cat.No 1KTJ24), which can also be used for vertical mounting of a DPX³160.

2. DIMENSIONS

2.1 Faceplates details

Pre-equipped cabinets feature top and bottom faceplates with a height of 200 mm, and intermediate faceplates with a height of 150 mm.

For cabinets with empty space, there is a free space height of 400 mm and faceplates with a height of 150 mm.

2.2 Cabinets dimensions and weights

2.3 Doors

The doors are supplied with a 1/4 turn handle and shutter. Handles can be fitted with interchangeable barrels, which must be ordered separately.

3. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

3.1 Protection Index

The protection index (IP) is IP 30 with faceplate and without door, IP 40 with door, and IP 43 with door and gasket. The impact resistance (IK) is IK 04 without door and IK 08 with door. The product is Class II.

3.2 Material characteristics

Color: Grey RAL 7035. Plastic Material: Rear panel is polystyrene (2 mm thickness), side panels are PVC (2 mm thickness), top and bottom panels are impact-resistant polystyrene (2 mm thickness), and the faceplate is impact-resistant polystyrene (3 mm thickness). Metal doors (flat/curved) have a thickness of 12/10 mm, and glass doors are 4 mm tempered glass with a 12/10 mm metal frame.

The materials are halogen-free and self-extinguishing at 750°C.

3.3 Electrical characteristics

Rated operational voltage (Ue): 415 V AC - 50/60 Hz. Rated insulation voltage (Ui): 690 V AC - 50/60 Hz. Rated impulse withstand voltage (Uimp): up to 8 kV. Short-circuit current (Icc): 25 kA. Rated current (In): 160 A.

The following table shows the thermal dissipation power for a maximum admissible current of 160 A with a temperature difference (Delta T) of 30 K. The configuration assumes the rear surface is in contact with a wall, with all other surfaces free. Determination is based on testing according to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 62208-1.

3.4 Mechanical characteristics

Permissible load: 40 N per row.

3.5 Climatic characteristics

Storage and installation temperature: -10°C to +70°C. Operating temperature: -5°C to +40°C. Must be installed under shelter. Corrosion resistance is per IEC 61439.

4. MAINTENANCE

Caution: Prior testing is required for specific cleaning products.

Surface cleaning should be done with a cloth. The material is resistant to hexane, methylated spirits, soapy water, diluted ammonia, 10% diluted bleach, glass cleaner, and pre-impregnated wipes.

5. STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS

Assemblies can be constructed with total insulation (equivalent to Class II devices) in accordance with NF EN / IEC 61439-2 and -3.

RoHS

The product complies with the 2011/65/EU Directive (RoHS), as amended by the 2015/863/EU Delegated Directive, concerning the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It confirms the absence of prohibited substances beyond admitted thresholds.

REACH

Substances identified as SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) under the REACH Regulation (1907/2006) are declared in the European SCIP database if present in the products at a concentration above 0.1% by weight. As of the publication date, no Annex XIV listed substances are found in this product.

Packaging

Packaging design and manufacture comply with European Directive 94/62/CE.
