LifeSmart's Video Smart Door Lock represents a new generation of door locks, featuring an HD camera integrated into a bezel-less design with a stylish finish and ergonomic considerations. It serves as a home guardian and a real-time surveillance device. Through its camera, users can monitor live video feeds from outside their door on their mobile devices anytime, anywhere. The lock verifies identity using fingerprint, password, NFC card, or a traditional key. Its fingerprint scanner utilizes advanced RF technology for high accuracy and fast response. Connecting the smart door lock to the LifeSmart Smart Home system enhances home safety and intelligence.
1.1 Features
- Video Call: When someone rings the doorbell, you can initiate a video call with the visitor and grant access remotely.
- Multiple Ways for Access: Unlock your door using fingerprint, password, NFC card, a traditional key, or the LifeSmart App.
- Safe Mode: Requires a combination of two access methods (fingerprint, password, or NFC card) to grant entry.
- Anti Password Leak Lock Down: After 10 incorrect password attempts, the lock is disabled for 10 minutes.

1.3 Components
The smart door lock comprises several key components:
- Front Panel Components: Built-in Camera, Screen, Fingerprint Scanner, Touchscreen Keypad, NFC Reader, Microphone, Doorbell.
- Handle Assembly: Includes the Handle, Release Button, Code Button, Reset Button, and Stop Button.
- Internal/Lock Body Components: Battery Compartment, Bolt Component, Latch Bolt, Dead Bolt, Speaker.
- External Connections: Keyhole for traditional key access, USB Emergency Power Supply Port.

1.4 Lock Body Description
The lock supports various lock body types:
24 * 240 Lock Body (Standard)
Features include Latch Bolt, Dead Bolt, Secure Bolt, Front Plate, TDG Anti-theft Spindle, Latch Bolt Reversal Button, Square Shaft Port, Emergency Key Pin Hole, Securer Bolt Pin Hole, and TDG Anti-theft Spindle.
30 * 240 Lock Body (Optional)

INSTALLATION
2.1 Installation Notice
- Change Direction of the Handle: Adjust the handle to the desired position as indicated by dashed lines. Fix the orientation screw and twist the square hole towards the handle direction until secure. These steps apply to both front and back panels.
- Direction of Opening: Illustrations show how to set the lock for doors opening outwards to the right, inwards to the right, outwards to the left, and inwards to the left.
- Door Thickness and Front Plate Length / Thickness Measurement: Guidance is provided on measuring the door thickness, front plate thickness, and front plate length.
ATTENTION: The lock body is compatible with doors ranging from 45mm to 55mm in thickness. For doors thicker than 55mm, customization of components may be required. Please check compatibility before installation and contact your retailer if the lock body does not fit.
2.2 Installation Instructions
- Drill openings according to the template and place the lock body into the door jamb.
- Connect the TDG anti-theft spindles with the lock body (skip if it is a wooden door).
- Secure the lock body with 4 screws.
- Connect the threaded rod according to your door's thickness. Install the handle aligned with the opening direction. Use a cross-tip screwdriver to tighten the oriental screw and secure the square hole towards the handle.
ATTENTION: The oriental screw is shipped loose in the lever handle. Pull it out from the right handle direction and tighten it according to your opening direction.
- Insert the square strip into the lock body from inside the door to outside, ensuring the longer side faces the front plate and springs are inserted on both sides of the strip.
- Route the front panel cable through the opening and seal the panel.
- Separate the back panel and its cover case. Route cables from the front panel through the matched openings, then fix the cylinder screws.
- Connect cables from the front panel to the correct sockets on the back panel. Remove the battery compartment cover, adjust, and tighten the 4 screws on the panel.
- Install batteries and close the battery compartment.
- Check the handle from both sides of the door, along with the stop button, emergency key, and other components, to confirm the lock is functioning correctly.
INSTRUCTION
3.1 Initial Use
- Ensure the door lock is installed correctly and batteries are inserted (8 AA batteries required).
- Add at least two admin accounts using fingerprint, password, or NFC card for unlocking.
- The door lock is now ready for use. You can authorize additional fingerprints, passwords, or NFC cards for access.
3.2 Keyboard Operation
The touchscreen keypad is used for password entry and navigation. Under Admin Mode, specific keys are illuminated for navigation: '2' to scroll up, '8' to scroll down, '*' to go back, and '#' to confirm.
- To unlock: Slide to activate the keyboard, input your password, and press '#' to finish.
- Admin Mode Navigation: Press '2' to scroll up, '8' to scroll down, '*' to go back, '#' to confirm.
3.3 Unlock/Lock Operation
How to Unlock in Semi-Locked State:
In Semi-Locked State, only the latch bolt is locked. The lock automatically enters semi-locked state 5 seconds after release.
- Unlock from Inside: Push down the handle.
- Unlock from Outside: Requires fingerprint, password, NFC card, or emergency key.
How to Unlock in Full-Locked State:
In Full-Locked State, both the latch bolt and dead bolt are locked. Pull up the handle from outside to engage full-lock.
- Unlock from Inside: Push down the handle.
- Unlock from Outside: Requires fingerprint, password, NFC card, or emergency key.
How to Unlock in Counter Locked State:
In Counter Locked State, the latch bolt, dead bolt, and stop button are all secured. Activate counter lock by switching the stop button.
- Unlock from Inside: Switch the stop button back and push down the handle.
- Unlock from Outside: Cannot be unlocked.
ATTENTION: Use the traditional metal key only in emergencies.
3.4 Fingerprint Operation
1. Fingerprint to Unlock

2. Add a New Fingerprint
Add a User's Fingerprint:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Fingerprint Management".
- Select "Add a User".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to complete the process.
Add an Admin's Fingerprint:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Fingerprint Management".
- Select "Add an Admin".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to complete the process.
3. Delete User's Fingerprint
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Fingerprint Management".
- Select "Delete a User".
- Select the name of the user to delete.
- Deletion completed.
3.5 Password Operation
1. Password to Unlock
Slide to activate the keyboard, input your password, and press '#' to finish. Wait for voice feedback; the lock will be unlocked.
2. Add a New Password
Add a User's Password:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Password Management".
- Select "Add a User".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to add a combination (6-12 characters).
Add an Admin's Password:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Password Management".
- Select "Add an Admin".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to add a combination (6-12 characters).
3. Delete User's Password
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Password Management".
- Select "Delete a User".
- Select the name of the user to delete.
- Deletion completed.
ATTENTION: '0001 *' indicates an authorized user, '0001 **' indicates an authorized admin. Only users 0001-0010 have administrator privileges.
3.6 NFC Card Operation
1. NFC Card to Unlock
Place your NFC card at the NFC Reader area. Wait for voice feedback to unlock. Note: NFC cards must be purchased separately; please contact your retailer.
2. Add a NFC Card
Add a User's NFC Card:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Fingerprint Management".
- Select "Add a User".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to add an NFC card.
Add an Admin's NFC Card:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "NFC Management".
- Select "Add an Admin".
- Select "Empty" (indicated by no '*' after the user's name).
- Follow voice prompts to add an NFC card.
3. Delete User's NFC Card
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "NFC Management".
- Select "Delete a User".
- Select the name of the user to delete.
- Deletion completed.
3.7 Settings
1. Safe Mode
When Safe Mode is enabled, access requires using any two of the available methods (fingerprint, password, or NFC card) simultaneously.
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Unlock Mode".
- Select "Safe Mode".
- New settings applied successfully.
2. Auto Lock
Set a duration for the lock to automatically re-lock after being released.
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Auto Lock Settings".
- Select a duration (in seconds).
- New settings applied successfully.
3. Language Setting
Configure system language and voice feedback language, choosing between Chinese and English.
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Language".
- Select a language.
- New settings applied successfully.
4. Voice Feedback Setting
Enable or disable voice feedback.
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Voice Feedback".
- Choose between feedback on/off or mute.
- New settings applied successfully.
5. Reset to Factory Default
Method 1:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Reset".
- Enter the password as prompted by the system.
- Reset to factory default completed.
Method 2:
- Open the battery compartment and remove all batteries.
- Touch the screen until no power remains.
- Press and hold the Reset Button, then reinsert the batteries.
- Follow on-screen instructions to finish the reset.

6. Wireless Module
Enabling the Wireless Module allows pairing with the LifeSmart App for checking lock status, access records, remote control, and more. Ensure your lock is connected to your local Smart Station and you have downloaded the LifeSmart App.
Enable Wireless Module:
- Slide to activate the keyboard.
- Press '*' twice.
- Enter Admin Mode by authenticating with an Admin's fingerprint, password, or NFC card.
- Select "Settings".
- Select "Wireless Module".
- Choose "Report Only" or "Remote Control".
- New settings applied successfully.
Wireless Module Setting Options:
- Disabled: The lock is disconnected from the Smart Home network and cannot be operated via the LifeSmart App.
- Report Only: Enables most LifeSmart App features for the door lock, excluding "Temporary Password".
- Remote Control: Enables all LifeSmart App features for the door lock.
LifeSmart App
1. Setting Up
- Scan the QR code to download the LifeSmart App.
- Register and log in to your account.
- Add a Smart Station first.
- On the app, click '+' on the top right, select "add new device", and choose "Video Smart Door Lock" to begin the pairing procedure.
- Follow the app's instructions to complete pairing. (If pairing fails, retry.)
(Mention of QR code for LifeSmart App download.)
ATTENTION:
- To access all features, a LifeSmart Smart Station is required. Without it, only the "video call" feature is available.
- For remote control via mobile devices, ensure "Wireless Module" is enabled on the lock.
2. Push Notifications
Receive notifications on your app when the door is opened.
- Open the Video Smart Door Lock page in the app.
- Click the info button on the top right.
- Enable "Push Notification" and select the members to be notified.
- Click '✓' to finish setting.
3. Temporary User
Set up a temporary password for visitor access within a specific time frame.
- Navigate to the Video Smart Door Lock page in the app.
- Click "Temporary User".
- Click '+' on the top right.
- Enter a name and password, and select if it's a one-time password.
- Click '✓' to finish setting.
4. Video Call
The Video Call feature provides real-time two-way audio and video communication to help identify guests. Guests initiate the call by pressing the Doorbell Button.
FAQ & Answers
1. Why the low fingerprint recognition rate?
- Wrong finger placement during addition or unlocking.
- Finger or scanner is not clean.
- Finger is too dry or too wet.
2. Why a new fingerprint cannot be added?
- The fingerprint is already registered.
- The fingerprint is unrecognisable due to biological reasons; try another finger.
3. Battery problems
- The lock requires 8 AA batteries.
- Batteries typically last about 1 year with 10 door openings per day (use quality batteries).
- If a "Low battery" warning appears, replace the batteries promptly.
4. How to use emergency power?
- When the battery is depleted, use an emergency power source via the USB port.
- Wait for a response after connecting the emergency power. Use fingerprint, password, or NFC card to unlock.
- Replace the batteries as soon as possible.

Thank you for purchasing this LifeSmart product. The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase, or longer if local laws mandate a longer minimum term. During this period, LifeSmart will provide a free replacement for any product faults arising from quality issues under normal usage.
