Installation
Prepare for the Installation:
If you have an outlet to the outside, your cooker hood can be connected via an extraction duct with an interior diameter of 150mm.
Before installation, turn the unit off and unplug it from the outlet.

Diagram showing an earthed outlet box and plug.
The cooker hood should be installed with a clearance of 650-760mm from the centre of the mesh grease filters to the hob, and 435-545mm from the bottom of the hood to the hob. The hob manufacturer's specified clearance must be followed. If no instructions are provided for a gas hob, the minimum distance between the hob and the centre of the mesh grease filters must be at least 760mm.
Installation - Ducted
ATTENTION: When the cooker hood and an appliance supplied with energy other than electricity are simultaneously in operation, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4×10-5 Bar).
Drill 3 holes using an 8mm drill bit to accommodate the bracket. Screw and tighten the bracket onto the wall with the screws (ST4x30mm) and wall plugs provided (A).
Level up the cooker hood and hang onto the wall bracket hook.

Chimney Installation
Attach the lower chimney section to the lower chimney bracket using the side hooks and mark the location of lower chimney bracket fixing holes on the wall.
After marking, drill two holes using an 8mm drill bit and insert 2 wall plugs. Fix the lower chimney bracket to the wall using 2 screws (ST4x30mm).

Recirculation Mode
If you do not have an outlet to the outside, the exhaust pipe is not required, and charcoal filters must be installed.

Accessing the Grease Filter:
To access the grease filter, pull the bottom slat from the base upwards and it will lift up.

Installing the Charcoal Filter (CAP61CF)
An activated charcoal filter can be used to trap odours. To install it, detach the grease filter first. Press the release button and pull it downwards.

Fit the activated charcoal filter onto the side of the motor and turn it clockwise to lock into place. Repeat on the other side.

A QR code is provided to access the 'How To' video.
NOTE:
Make sure the filter is securely locked; otherwise, it may loosen and be dangerous.
When using a charcoal filter, the extraction power may be slightly reduced.
We recommend replacing these filters every 6 months. Replacement filters (CAP61CF) can be purchased directly from www.caple.co.uk.
Operation - Touch Control
- ON/OFF BUTTON: Press and hold for 2-3 seconds to turn the extractor fan on. You can then change speeds. Press again to switch off.
- LOW SPEED BUTTON (1): Suitable for simmering and cooking that produces little steam or odour.
- MEDIUM SPEED BUTTON (2): Ideal for extracting with standard cooking.
- HIGH SPEED BUTTON (3): Use for high amounts of steam or odours for the most effective extraction.
- LIGHT BUTTON (☀️): Switches the light on and off.
Care and Maintenance
IMPORTANT:
Before cleaning or maintenance, switch off the electricity supply and unplug the appliance.
Regular Cleaning:
Use a soft damp cloth with lukewarm, mildly soapy water or household cleaning detergent. Never use metal pads, chemicals, abrasive material, abrasive cleaning creams, or stiff brushes.
Cleaning the Grease Filter:
Clean the filter every month to minimize fire risk. The filter collects grease, smoke, and dust, directly affecting the hood's efficiency. If not cleaned, flammable grease residue will saturate the filter. It can be cleaned with warm water and washing-up liquid, or in a dishwasher. Wash filters separately to prevent food particles from getting trapped in the gauze. Dishwasher cleaning may cause slight discolouration, which is normal and not a product fault.
Replacing Your Charcoal Filter:
This applies only if using the hood in recirculation mode (not vented to the outside). Charcoal filters trap cooking odours and need replacement, depending on usage frequency. Replacement is recommended at least every 6 months. This extractor uses CAP61CF charcoal filters, available from www.caple.co.uk.
Replacing the Bulb:
NOTE: Lights must be replaced by a qualified person.
- Switch the unit off and unplug the appliance.
- Push out and unclip the old LED light.
- Replace with the same type and rated bulb lamp fixing. LED lamp (max. 1.5W).
Light Source Energy Class
This product contains a light source of energy efficiency class G.
