Installation Guide
Layout Planning
- Plan the desired layout carefully, ensuring cables reach between the junction box, LED driver, and light fitting.
- Avoid locating cables in hazardous positions.
- Position cables and outdoor rated junction boxes away from areas where they may be cut, trapped, or damaged.
- The mains supply cable must have a minimum cross-sectional area of 1.0mm².
- Cables must be protected using suitable conduit or plastic trunking.
Mounting and Wiring
- Existing fittings must be completely removed before installation.
- Ensure the switch is turned off before installation.
- Seal screws and cable entry points to maintain the IP rating.
- The cable entry point should be at least 10cm from the ground surface when installing the spike.
- Decide on the luminaire's final position. An approved outdoor rated plug and socket, or an approved outdoor rated external terminal block, may be required.
- Cables to be in walls or concealed underground must be protected using suitable conduit or plastic trunking.
- Take care not to drill into any pipes or mains cables beneath the surface when preparing mounting holes. [⚠️]
- Ensure the ground is suitable for pushing the spike into and can support the luminaire. Do not install in very wet or boggy areas.
- Attach the spike to the fitting using the knob and tighten securely.
- Wire the unit as detailed in the wiring diagrams.
- Replace the fuse or circuit breaker and switch on the power. [⚡️ ✅]
- Your light is now ready for use.
