Product Overview
The Sentinel Multivent continuous mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) system is designed for the simultaneous ventilation of separate areas in the home or as a multipoint extraction system for a wide range of commercial applications. The units can be wall, ceiling, or loft mounted. Where the ambient air has a high humidity content, condensate drains are provided.
Vent-Axia offers comprehensive support for the Sentinel Multivent, including practical advice on product selection and installation, guidance on meeting legislation requirements, project management, site deliveries, and after-sales support and maintenance information.
The Uniflexplus+ Semi-Rigid ducting range provides an easy-to-install, low-profile ducting solution with flexibility and minimal components for a speedy installation.
Improving Efficiency
The Sentinel Multivent is engineered to meet the demands of developers, installers, and users, offering advanced control options and easier installation and commissioning.
- Demand Control: Enables precise ventilation rates, set in 1% increments based on property size.
- Comfort Mode: Allows homeowners to control unit operation duration to avoid disturbance.
- Integral Digital Display: Allows installers to select appropriate low, normal, boost, and purge speeds to meet demand.
- Manual and automatic control options.
- Integral adjustable overrun timer and delay on timer.
- Switched live and SELV connections.
- Optional Wireless Control on "X" units.
- Energy Efficient EC/DC Motors: Consume 1/3 less energy lost to heat compared to conventional AC motors.
- Low Specific Fan Power (SFP): Positions the unit as one of the most efficient products on the market.
Legislation and Compliance
- Meets Building Regulations Approved Document F (System 3).
- Recognised in SAP PCDB for applications up to kitchen + 6 wet rooms.
- Meets carbon footprint reduction targets.
- Supports better health by removing pollutants like moisture and carbon dioxide, contributing to a healthier living environment.
- The integral humidity sensor (Sentinel Multivent H) increases fan speed proportionally to relative humidity levels, saving energy and reducing noise. This feature ensures adequate ventilation even for small wet rooms by reacting to small but rapid humidity increases.
- A night-time relative humidity increment setback feature prevents nuisance tripping caused by gradual humidity increases with falling temperatures.
SAP PCDB Information
For optimal choices, developers and contractors should consult Building Regulations ADL1a, SAP 2012, and the SAP PCDB. Launched in June 2006, the SAP PCDB rewards innovative ventilation manufacturers by listing energy-efficient products that help developers meet their Target Emission Rates (TER).
SAP is the foundational methodology for Energy Performance Certificates and is used to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations for Dwellings. The SAP PCDB specifically focuses on whole-house ventilation systems, listing Vent-Axia Mechanical Ventilation solutions that offer improved SAP ratings over the default for their product types.

Your Carbon Footprint
Carbon footprint measures the CO₂ emitted from burning fossil fuels. For buildings, it relates to the carbon generated per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity consumed. Reducing a building's carbon footprint lowers electricity bills, saves money, helps meet UK emission reduction targets, and benefits the environment.
