- Insert the drip tray (A4) into the holder located under the grill plate. Connect the temperature control unit (A6) to the grill. Insert the power cord plug (A5) into an electrical socket.
- Set the temperature control unit (A6) to the desired temperature according to the type of food you are cooking. The illuminated pilot light (A7) indicates that the grill plate (A2) is heating up.
Temperature Control Unit Settings:
Temperature Control Setting | Temperature | Type of food and cooking method |
---|---|---|
OFF | - | - |
WARM | 60°C | Defrosting food |
100°C | Keeping food warm | |
160°C | Grilling vegetables, fish, hot dogs, or sausages, etc. | |
220°C | Steaks |
Note: You may observe a small amount of smoke when you first turn on the grill. This is caused by the heating of the appliance and will disappear after a while.
- Allow the grill plate (A2) to preheat. When the set temperature is reached, the indicator light (A7) will turn off. The grill is now ready for use.
- Place meat, vegetables, or other suitable foods onto the grill plate (A2). Foods you wish to defrost or keep warm should first be placed in a pocket made of aluminum foil. Close the pocket and place it with the food on the flat part of the grill plate (A2). Check the food regularly and turn it as needed.
Note: The grill plate heating indicator (A7) will turn on and off intermittently. This indicates that the set temperature is being maintained.
- When the food is ready, use a heat-resistant spatula or tongs to remove it from the grill plate (A2).
Caution: Do not use metal tongs or metal spatulas, knives, or other sharp metal kitchen utensils. This could damage the non-stick coating of the grill plate (A2).
- If you wish to continue grilling other foods, first clean any food residue from the surface of the grill plate (A2) using a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula. Empty the drip tray (A4) and put it back.
Caution: Grease and liquids in the drip tray (A4) should not be consumed. The material from which the drip tray (A4) is made is not intended for direct contact with food.
Caution: When cleaning the grill plate (A2), be very careful not to burn yourself on the hot surface.
- When you have finished using the grill, turn it off by setting the temperature control knob (A6) to the OFF position. Remove the power cord plug (A5) from the electrical socket. Disconnect the temperature control unit plug (A6) from the grill.
- Before any further handling, let the grill cool down.
Non-stick Coating on the Grill Plate
- The grill plate (A2) of the table grill has a special non-stick coating. This coating allows you to prepare healthy meals using a minimum amount of vegetable fat or oil.
- Do not use sharp or metallic kitchen utensils and do not cut food directly on the grill plate (A2). The manufacturer is not responsible for damage to the coating caused by the use of sharp objects or metal utensils.
- A change in the color of the grill plate (A2) surface does not affect its functionality.
Tips for Grilling Meat
- For grilling, use fresh meat. Defrosted meat will release its juices after defrosting and will be dry on the grill.
- Do not grill excessively large pieces of meat. Cut the meat into slices of 1-2 cm thickness before preparing them.
- It is not recommended to use the grill for preparing meat with thick bones, such as pork chops with bones.
- Do not salt the meat before placing it on the grill. This can lead to tough and dry meat.
- Before preparing marinated meat, pat it dry with paper towels to remove excess marinade. Some marinades have a high sugar content, which can burn on the grill plate.
- If you want to create grill marks on the food surface, grill them on the ribbed side of the grill plate.
- Do not pierce the meat while grilling. Otherwise, the juice will escape, and the meat will be tough and dry.
- Do not overcook the meat by drying it out.
- Always ensure that chicken is cooked thoroughly.
- After grilling the meat, season it to taste with salt or other spices.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Before cleaning the grill, always turn it off by setting the temperature control knob (A6) to the OFF position. Remove the power cord plug (A5) from the electrical socket and disconnect the temperature control unit plug (A6) from the grill. Let the grill cool down.
Cleaning the Grill Plate and Drip Tray
- Clean the surface of the grill plate (A2) after each use to prevent the formation of burnt food residue layers.
- For cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth. If there are burnt food residues, for example, from marinated meat, stuck to the surface of the grill plate (A2), apply a solution of water and neutral dish detergent to these areas. After applying the detergent, wipe the grill plate (A2) with a clean, damp cloth.
- It will be easier to clean the grill plate (A2) while it is still slightly warm.
- Remove the drip tray (A4) and empty any juice or grease from it. Then wash it in warm water with dish detergent, rinse with clean water, dry it, and put it back in the lower part of the grill.
Cleaning the Handles and Temperature Control Unit
- To clean the handles (A1), use a damp cloth and then wipe them. Wipe the temperature control unit (A6) with a dry cloth.
- Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, caustic agents, gasoline, solvents, etc., for cleaning any part of the grill. Do not immerse the grill or the power cord in water or any other liquid.
Storage
- After the grill plate (A2) has cooled down, store the grill and power cord in a dry and clean place. Do not leave it within the reach of children.
