Assembly Instructions
- Assemble the main drum rack frame (1) and attach the kick pedal (9).
- Attach the tom and cymbal mounts (4, 5) to the rack frame.
- Mount the cymbal pads (2) onto their respective mounts and rotate them 180 degrees.
- Attach the snare drum pad and tom pads to the mounts.
- Insert the rack tubes (7) into the rack frame.
- Attach the hi-hat stand (8) to the rack using the Allen key (A).
- Mount the cymbal pads (2) onto their stands (5), x3.
- Connect the cymbal pads to the rack.
- Mount the snare drum pad (refer to diagram part 8 for snare pad).
- Connect the snare drum pad to the module.
- Mount the tom pads (refer to diagram part 9 for tom pads).
- Connect the tom pads to the module.
- Mount the drum module (6) onto the rack using the provided screws (E).
- Connect all pads and pedals to the drum module (6) using the appropriate cables (D). Refer to the connection diagram in step 15.
- Connection Diagram:
- HI-HAT (5) connects to Module Input 1.
- CRASH 1 (2) connects to Module Input 4.
- TOM 1 (1) connects to Module Input 2.
- TOM 2 (2) connects to Module Input 3.
- TOM 3 (3) connects to Module Input 7.
- SNARE (4) connects to Module Input 5.
- BASS (4) connects to Module Input 6.
- HI-HAT PEDAL (3) connects to Module Input 8.
- BASS PEDAL (6) connects to Module Input 9.
- The Drum Module (6) connects to the power adapter (C).
- The Drum Module (6) can connect to a computer via USB (D).
- The Drum Module (6) outputs to amplifiers/speakers via L/MONO (4) and R (5) jacks.
- Use the LINE IN (15) jack to connect external audio devices.
- Use the HEADPHONES (14) jack for listening.
Functions
- 1. POWER: Use this to switch the DD220X on or off. A power supply must be connected for the module to operate.
- 2. INPUT: Connect the DD220X module to a power source here using the supplied 9V power supply.
- 3. USB: Use this to connect the DD220X to your computer.
- 4. L/MONO: Insert a jack cable here to connect the DD220X to your amplifier, drum monitor, interface, or PA system. This output is not suitable for headphones.
- 5. R: For a stereo output, insert an additional cable into the R jack output.
- 6. VOLUME: Use this wheel to control the overall volume of the DD220X.
- 7. SCREEN: View all module information on this screen.
- 8. DATA: Use this wheel to adjust settings within the drum kit after selection via the individual buttons.
- 9. KITS: Press this button to explore the 38 drum kits. Rotate the DATA wheel to select your desired sound.
- 10. SONG: Press this button to explore the 44 accompaniment songs. The SCREEN will show S.01 – S.44. Use the PLAY/STOP button to start and stop songs. An index of songs is available on page 9.
- 11. CLICK: Press this button to activate the metronome. Choose from different rhythms (C.01 – C.12). The CLICK button can mute the drum accompaniment during SONG mode for practice.
- 12. TEMPO: Adjust the tempo for the metronome and songs (40-250 BPM). Use the DATA wheel to increase or decrease the value.
- 13. PLAY/STOP: Use this to start and stop the accompaniment.
- 14. HEADPHONES: Connect your 3.5mm minijack headphones here. Ensure the volume is low before use, then adjust to your desired level.
- 15. LINE IN: Connect external audio devices (e.g., laptop, mp3 player) for playing along to your own music. Volume is controlled by the external device. Ensure the external device's output volume is low before connecting.
