Functions

Top Panel

Diagram shows the top panel of the VISIONPAD-6 with numbered controls:

  • 1. PADS: Four velocity-sensitive pads to trigger drum sounds.
  • 2. LED: Indicator displaying the velocity of each hit.
  • 3. SCREEN: Displays relevant information and settings.
  • 4. SPEAKERS: 1.5" speakers for sound projection when no headphones are connected.
  • 5. SELECT: Control wheel to adjust parameter values.
  • 6. HOME: Short press to return to the home screen; long press to enter drum kit settings.
  • 7. METRONOME: Short press to activate the metronome; long press to adjust its settings.
  • 8. HEADPHONE INPUT: 3.5mm jack for headphones. Advised to start with low volume.
  • 9. PLAY/PAUSE: Button to start/stop the game.
  • 10. GAME: Button to activate game mode.
  • 11. VOLUME: Control wheel to adjust volume and some settings.

Rear Panel

Diagram shows the rear panel of the VISIONPAD-6 with numbered connections and indicators:

  • 12. DC INPUT: Connect the VISIONPAD-6 to a power source here.
  • 13. POWER: Button to turn the VISIONPAD-6 on/off.
  • 14. PEDAL: 6.3mm Jack for connecting hi-hat and kick pedals.
  • 15. BATTERY COMPARTMENT: Compartment for inserting 6 x AA alkaline batteries (not included).

LCD Screen

The LCD screen displays various information:

  • 1. P: Current drum kit number.
  • 2. V: Global volume of the unit.
  • 3. T: Current tempo rhythm/style.
  • 4. FUNK2: Title of the current drum kit.
  • 5. P: Pad to which each sound is assigned.
  • 6. WAVE: Title of the sound assigned to each pad.
  • 7. V: Volume of each individual pad.

Example display shows "P12 v=5 t=3", "Funk2", and pad assignments like "1 Pref_T2 9".

Metronome Mode

Metronome settings are displayed and adjustable:

  • 1. A: Current tempo (adjustable between 20-240 BPM).
  • 2. B: Metronome volume (adjustable 0-9).
  • 3. C: Current type of tempo rhythm (7 types available).
  • 4. D: Beat of the metronome (adjustable 1-16).

Example display shows "Click Setup", "volume: 9", "type: 1", "beat: 4".

Game Mode

Game mode screen elements:

  • A: Current game song title.
  • B: Difficulty of the song (indicated by '*').
  • C: Numbers representing pads to hit (e.g., 6 for kick pad). Column 4 with hollow middle indicates hitting pad 4 and the hi-hat pedal simultaneously.
  • D: Notes moving down the lane; hit the corresponding pad when they reach the bottom.
  • E: Accuracy of the hit (M = Miss, G = Good, P = Perfect).
  • F: Current score.

Example display shows "Song01", difficulty '*', pad indicators, note lane, accuracy 'M', and "score: 0".

Operation

Drum Kit Operation

  1. Short press HOME to switch to the home screen.
  2. Rotate the SELECT wheel to alternate between available drum kits.
  3. Rotate the VOLUME wheel to adjust the volume of the current drum kit.

Drum Kit Setting

  1. Long press HOME; PAD1 will start flashing, indicating "drum kit set mode".
  2. Hit Pads 1-4 or tap pedals 5-6 to select the sound to modify. The cursor will move to the selected pad or pedal.
  3. Rotate the SELECT wheel to adjust drum kit parameters.
  4. Rotate the VOLUME wheel to modify the value of the selected parameter.
  5. Short press HOME to exit drum set mode and save the current setup.

Game Mode Operation

The VISIONPAD-6 includes 25 songs for technique improvement. A bar count-in precedes each song.

  1. Press GAME to enter game mode.
  2. Rotate the SELECT wheel to alternate between songs.
  3. Press START/STOP to begin the game.
  4. Rotate the VOLUME wheel to adjust the background volume.
  5. During the game, press START/STOP to pause.
  6. Adjust tempo by pressing click and rotating the VOLUME wheel to increase/decrease BPM.
  7. After the game, player name or score is displayed. The device returns to the game's home screen after three seconds of inactivity.

Metronome

  1. Press METRONOME to start the metronome.
  2. Press METRONOME again to stop.
  3. Hold down METRONOME to enter the settings page and make changes.

Sleep Mode

If the electronic drum pad detects no activity for 8 minutes, it enters sleep mode. The screen shows a sleep icon and the light belt flashes green.

To wake up, hit any pad or press any button. If no activity is detected for five minutes in sleep mode, the device will power down.

Reset

To reset the electronic drum pad to its initial factory state, press METRONOME + GAME together, then press PLAY/PAUSE.

Sounds

The VISIONPAD-6 features a wide range of sounds. Below are lists of available sounds and their corresponding numbers.
