- Never insert metallic objects into open parts of the apparatus.
- Never touch the inside of the apparatus; only qualified technicians should open it.
- Ensure the power cord is firmly seated and pull by the plug, not the cord, when unplugging. Do not touch with wet hands.
- If the apparatus operates abnormally (unusual sounds or smells), unplug immediately and contact an authorized dealer or Samsung service center.
- Unplug from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system during lightning storms or when leaving the TV unattended for a long time.
- Accumulated dust can cause electric shock, leakage, or fire.
- Use a properly grounded plug and wall outlet.
- To turn off completely, disconnect from the wall outlet. Ensure the outlet and plug are accessible.
Installation Precautions:
- Do not place near radiators, heat registers, or in direct sunlight.
- Do not place water-filled vessels on the apparatus.
- Do not expose to rain or moisture.
- Contact an authorized Samsung service center for information if installing in locations with heavy dust, extreme temperatures, high humidity, or chemical substances, or where it operates 24 hours a day.
- Do not expose to dripping or splashing.
Mounting the TV on a Wall:
- Follow manufacturer's instructions exactly. Incorrect mounting can cause serious injury or damage.
- Order Samsung wall mount kits from a Samsung service center.
- Samsung Electronics is not responsible for damage or injury if you install the wall mount yourself or use non-VESA or non-specified mounts.
- Mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Consult your dealer for mounting on surfaces other than plasterboard. Mounting on ceilings or slanted walls may cause falls and severe injury.
- Fasten all four VESA screws when installing a wall mount kit.
- If using a two-screw mount, ensure it's a Samsung-supported kit.
- Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.
- Do not use screws longer than standard VESA specifications, as they can damage the TV's interior.
- Do not overtighten screws to prevent damage or product fall.
- Always have two people mount the TV; four people for models 82 inches or larger.
- Do not install the wall mount while the TV is on to avoid electric shock.
Providing Proper Ventilation:
Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) distance between the TV and One Connect Box (if applicable) and other objects for proper ventilation. Failure to do so may cause fire or product issues due to increased internal temperature.
- Use only Samsung-provided parts for stands or wall mounts. Using parts from other manufacturers may cause difficulties or injury.
Safety Precautions:
- Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall, leading to serious injury or death. Do not hang on or destabilize the TV. Purchase and install an anti-tip device for added stability.
- WARNING: Never place a TV in an unstable location. Many injuries can be avoided by taking simple precautions:
- Use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by Samsung.
- Use furniture that can safely support the TV.
- Ensure the TV does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Educate about the dangers of climbing furniture to reach the TV or its controls.
- Route cords and cables so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.
- Never place the TV on tall furniture without anchoring both the furniture and the TV.
- Never place the TV on cloth or other materials between the TV and furniture.
- Never place items that might tempt climbing (toys, remotes) on top of the TV or furniture.
- Apply the same considerations if retaining and relocating an existing TV.
- When relocating or lifting the TV, do not pull out the stand.
Preventing the TV from Falling:
Use a wall anchor (not supplied) and brackets:
- Firmly fasten brackets to the wall with appropriate screws. Ensure screws are securely attached. Additional materials like wall anchors may be needed depending on the wall type.
- Firmly fasten brackets to the TV using appropriately sized screws (refer to the Unpacking and Installation Guide for specifications).
- Connect the TV brackets and wall brackets with a durable, heavy-duty string, tying it tightly. Install the TV near the wall to prevent it from falling backward. Ensure wall brackets are at the same height or lower than the TV brackets.
Precautions when installing the TV with a stand (The Frame Series only):
Avoid placing the stand on the back part of the table surface to ensure the motion sensor at the bottom of the TV works properly.
