Power Precautions:
- Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or adapters beyond their voltage and capacity to prevent fire or electric shock.
- Place power-supply cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched. Pay particular attention to cords at the plug end, wall outlets, and where they exit the appliance.
- Never insert anything metallic into the open parts of this apparatus to avoid electric shock.
- Never touch the inside of this apparatus. Only a qualified technician should open it.
- Ensure the power cord is firmly seated. Pull on the plug, not the cord, when unplugging. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands.
- If the apparatus does not operate normally (unusual sounds or smells), unplug it immediately and contact an authorized Samsung dealer or service center.
- To protect the apparatus from lightning storms or for long periods of disuse, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
- Accumulated dust can cause electric shock, leakage, or fire.
- Use only a properly grounded plug and wall outlet. Improper grounding may cause electric shock or equipment damage (Class I Equipment only).
- To turn off the apparatus completely, disconnect it from the wall outlet. Ensure the wall outlet and power plug are readily accessible for quick disconnection.
Installation Precautions:
- Do not place the apparatus near or over a radiator or heat register, or where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
- Do not place vessels containing water on this apparatus to prevent fire or electric shock.
- Do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
- Contact an authorized Samsung service center if installing in locations with heavy dust, extreme temperatures, high humidity, chemical substances, or for 24-hour operation (e.g., airports, train stations) to prevent serious damage.
- Do not expose this apparatus to dripping or splashing.
Mounting the TV on a Wall:
- Follow manufacturer's instructions exactly. Incorrect mounting may cause serious injury or damage.
- Order Samsung wall mount kits from a Samsung service center.
- Samsung Electronics is not responsible for damage or injury from self-installation or use of non-VESA or non-specified wall mounts.
- Mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Consult your dealer for mounting on surfaces other than plasterboard. Mounting on ceilings or slanted walls may cause falls and severe injury.
- Fasten all four VESA screws when installing a wall mount kit.
- If using a two-screw top mount, ensure it's a Samsung-approved kit.
- Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.
- Standard wall mount kit dimensions are in the Unpacking and Installation Guide.
- Do not install the wall mount kit while the TV is turned on to prevent electric shock.
- Use only VESA-standard screws. Screws that are too long may damage the TV's interior.
- Do not overtighten screws to prevent product damage or falls. Samsung is not liable for such accidents.
- Always have two people mount the TV. For models 82 inches or larger, four people are recommended.
Providing Proper Ventilation:
- Maintain at least a 4-inch (10 cm) distance between the TV and One Connect Box (if applicable) and surrounding objects (walls, cabinet sides) for proper ventilation. Failure to do so may result in fire or product issues due to increased internal temperature.
- Use only Samsung-provided parts for stands or wall mounts to avoid product difficulties or injury from falling.
Safety Precautions:
- Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall, leading to serious injury or death. Do not hang on or destabilize the TV. Follow safety precautions in the included Safety Flyer. Consider using an anti-tip device for added stability.
- WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. It may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Take precautions such as:
- Always use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by Samsung.
- Always use furniture that can safely support the television set.
- Ensure the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Educate about the dangers of climbing furniture to reach the television or its controls.
- Route cords and cables so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or grabbed.
- Never place a television set on tall furniture without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.
- Never place the television set on cloth or other materials between the set and supporting furniture.
- Never place items that might tempt climbing (toys, remote controls) on top of the television or furniture.
- Apply the same considerations if relocating an existing television set.
- When relocating or lifting the TV, do not pull out the stand.
Preventing the TV from Falling:
Use a wall anchor (not supplied):
- Firmly fasten brackets to the wall using appropriate screws. Confirm they are securely attached. Additional materials like wall anchors may be needed depending on the wall type.
- Firmly fasten brackets to the TV using appropriately sized screws (refer to the Unpacking and Installation Guide for specifications).
- Connect the TV brackets and wall brackets with a durable, heavy-duty string and tie it tightly. Install the TV near the wall to prevent it from falling backward. Ensure wall brackets are at the same height or lower than the TV brackets.
Precautions when installing the TV with a stand (The Frame Series only):
Avoid placing the stand on the back part of the table surface to ensure the motion sensor at the bottom of the TV functions correctly.
Operation Precautions
- This apparatus uses batteries. Dispose of batteries properly according to local environmental regulations.
- Store accessories (remote control, batteries, etc.) out of reach.
- Do not drop or strike the product. If damaged, disconnect the power cord and contact a Samsung service center.
- Do not dispose of remote control or batteries in fire.
- Do not short-circuit, disassemble, or overheat batteries.
- CAUTION: Danger of explosion if batteries are replaced with an incorrect type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- WARNING: Keep candles and other items with open flames away from this product at all times to prevent the spread of fire.
Caring for the TV
- To clean, unplug the power cord and wipe the product with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use chemicals like wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticide, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents, as they can damage the appearance or erase printing.
- Clean the exterior and screen carefully with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Do not spray water or liquid directly onto the TV, as it may cause failure, fire, or electric shock.
Internet Security (Mexico only)
Samsung implements security measures for its Internet-compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized access and hacking, including encryption of sensitive communications and controls to prevent unauthorized application installation.
While Samsung takes steps to protect your Smart TV and personal information, no Internet-connected device is completely secure. Take additional steps to safeguard your TV, secure your Internet connection, and minimize risks:
- Promptly install Samsung software updates for improved security. Enable Auto Update in the TV's menu ( > (left directional button) > Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update). Accept updates when prompted.
- Secure your wireless access point and network: use unique passwords for management settings, implement standard encryption (e.g., WPA2), use hard-to-guess network passwords, enable the firewall, ensure all devices are behind the firewall, and use standby mode when the network is not in use.
- Use strong passwords for all Internet accounts (Netflix, Facebook, etc.).
- Do not accept unexpected messages requesting permission to link a device or enable a remote session.
- Avoid suspicious websites and programs. Install only authorized apps from Samsung Smart Hub.
