The wireless smart battery camera supports both battery-powered and AC-powered supply.
1. Download and install the App
The camera supports Android and iOS Apps. Scan the QR code or visit https://www.vicohome.io/download/ to download and install the app. Follow the on-screen instructions for user registration.
2. Add the device
Sign in to the App, connect to Wi-Fi, and add the device by following the prompts. Ensure the device is close to the router during configuration.
5. Set up the camera
In the App, click "Add Camera Now". Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. The camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only and does not support enterprise-level authentication. After entering the Wi-Fi details, click "Continue" to generate a QR code for pairing.
Pairing Process:
- Press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the camera. It will emit a "Ding Dong Ding Dong" sound. If no sound is heard, double-click the power button.
- Face the camera lens towards the QR code displayed on your phone from approximately 20 cm (7 inches) away until you hear a "Ding" sound.
- After a successful connection, the camera will provide a prompt sound. Name your device in the App and select its location. Click "Continue" to complete the pairing.
Possible problems with binding:
- "Wi-Fi Password Error": Verify the Wi-Fi password entered in the App.
- "Authentication error": Ensure your Wi-Fi network is not enterprise-level and uses a security level below WPA-2.
- "Wi-Fi not found": Check the Wi-Fi name, ensure the device is near the router, and that the router is powered on. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.
- "Retrieving IP timeout": Too many devices may be connected to your router. Remove unused devices or restart the router. Contact your router administrator if necessary.
- "Cloud service connection fail": Check your router's connection to the external network. Ensure network connectivity is normal and temporarily disable firewalls if needed.
6. Install Bird Feeder
1. Select a good spot for your bird feeder:
Choose a location with good Wi-Fi coverage and frequent bird activity. Adjust the camera angle to cover the bird-watching stand. Recommended installation height is about 6 ft.
2. Install the host:
Assemble the upper cover:
Turn the upper cover down until it fastens onto the middle shell.
3. Install the tray:
Clamp the material tray to the bottom of the main body and secure it with three screws using a cross screwdriver.
4. Install an external antenna:
Position the external antenna at the back antenna hole of the bird feeder and tighten it.
5. Install the bracket:
Screw fixing:
Drill holes in the wall according to the bracket spacing. Mark the holes with a pencil before drilling. Insert expansion nuts into the holes and attach the bracket using screws.
6. Installation of bracket and Bird Feeder:
Tighten the hand screw through the iron bracket into the screw hole at the bottom of the bird feeder.
7. Install solar panels:
- Fix the bracket on the wall.
- Install the solar panel onto the bracket and secure it with a nut.
- Adjust the solar panel's angle to maximize sunlight reception (0-360° rotation, 0-90° tilt).
8. Charge the camera
The App will notify you when the battery is low. Use the provided Type-C cable and a 5V/1.5A charging adapter to charge the camera. The indicator light will be solid yellow while charging and turn solid green when fully charged. Full charging takes approximately 14 hours.

- Q: Camera permission management: How to invite family and friends to use my camera together?
A: Open the App, select your camera on the home page, click the share button or "Share" in camera settings to enter the sharing page. Click "Invite" to generate a QR code. Your friends can then scan the QR code with their phone to gain access rights. - Q: Why doesn't the Wi-Fi name appear when I connect to Wi-Fi?

A: The built-in infrared lamp beads emit dim red lights for night vision, but the image quality remains clear in low-light conditions. - Q: What are the requirements for Wi-Fi?
A: Use a 2.4GHz wireless network. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported. Set the Wi-Fi authentication method to WPA2-PSK or a lower security level. A password is required. - Q: How far should the camera be placed from the router?
A: The Wi-Fi connection can reach up to 220 meters in open areas. Actual performance depends on Wi-Fi strength and environment (walls, electromagnetic devices, metal objects can interfere). If the signal is weak, place the camera closer to the router. - Q: What is the maximum length of recording time?
A: If set to "Auto", the camera records for up to 3 minutes when motion is detected. - Q: How to quickly view videos by category?
