- Ensure the appliance never contacts water when the plug is inserted, especially near sinks.
- Keep the power cable dry and prevent it from being clamped or damaged.
- Have defective plugs or cables replaced by qualified technicians or Customer Service.
- Always remove the plug from the socket after use; switching off is insufficient as the appliance remains powered.
To avoid the risks of fire or injury:
- Parts of the appliance become hot during operation; always hold by the grip.
- Pastry can catch fire! Do not place the appliance under flammable objects like curtains.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
- This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or intellectual capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised by a responsible person or instructed on its use. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Very hot steam clouds can escape when opening the lid; wear oven mitts.
- This appliance is not designed for use with external timers or separate remote control systems.
Preparing the Donut Maker
Before first use, check the appliance, plug, and cable for serviceability and ensure all packaging is removed.
Clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning and Care" section.
Lightly grease the baking surfaces with butter, margarine, or suitable baking oil to help loosen production residues.
Heat the appliance up with the lid closed:
- Insert the plug into the power socket.
- The red operating light ? glows while the plug is in the socket. The green operating light ? glows when the appliance reaches the set temperature.
Important! Take hold of the appliance only at the hand grip ?️. Other parts are very hot. Risk of Burns!
Remove the power plug, open the lid, and allow the appliance to cool down. Clean again as described in "Cleaning and Care". The Donut Maker is now ready.
Baking Donuts
Prepare your dough according to the recipes provided.
Note: For low-fat pastries, lightly grease baking surfaces with butter, margarine, or oil.
- Heat the appliance with the lid closed. Insert the plug into a power socket.
- The appliance is sufficiently warmed up when the green operating light ? glows.
Note: The green light may briefly go out and then relight during baking, indicating the appliance is reheating to maintain temperature.
Important! Take hold of the appliance only at the hand grip ?️. Other parts are very hot. Risk of Burns!
- Open the Donut Maker.
- Place enough dough into each donut mould (approx. 1 teaspoon) to fill it without overflowing. Close the lid.
Note: Alternatively, use a pastry bag to fill the moulds.
Note: Overfilling may cause the lid to pop open. Use less dough next time.
5. After at least 2 minutes, open the lid to check baking. Opening too early may tear the donuts. Donuts are ready in approx. 2-3 minutes, depending on taste.
Note: Be careful when removing donuts to avoid damaging the baking surface coating, which can affect separation.
6. After baking the last donut, remove the plug and allow the appliance to cool with the lid open.
Cleaning and Care
Important! Never open the appliance housing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Opening the housing risks a fatal electric shock. Before cleaning:
- Remove the power plug and allow the device to cool down completely.
- ✔️ Under no circumstances submerge appliance parts in water or other liquids. This poses a risk of fatal electric shock if moisture remains in voltage-conducting elements.
Attention! Property damage!
- Do not use detergents or solvents, as they can damage the appliance and leave residues.
- First, clean baking surfaces with a dry paper towel to absorb grease.
- Then, clean all surfaces and the power cable with a lightly moistened cloth. Dry the appliance thoroughly before reuse.
For stubborn residues:
Attention! Property damage! NEVER use hard objects, as they can damage the baking surface coatings.
- It is better to lay a wet washcloth on encrusted residues to soften them.
Storage
Allow the appliance to cool off completely before storing.
Wind the power cable around the cable retainer ? on the bottom of the appliance.
Store the appliance in a dry location.
