Location Requirements
IMPORTANT: Observe all governing codes and ordinances. Do not obstruct flow of combustion and ventilation air.
- The installer is responsible for complying with installation clearances specified on the model/serial/rating plate, located on the underside of the cooktop base.
- Install the cooktop away from strong draft areas (e.g., windows, doors, heating vents).
- Seal all openings in the wall or floor where the cooktop is installed.
- Use the cabinet opening dimensions provided. These are minimum clearances.
- A grounded electrical supply and proper gas supply connection are required. Refer to "Electrical Requirements" and "Gas Supply Requirements" sections.
- The cooktop is designed to hang from the countertop by its side or rear flanges.
- Locate gas and electric supply for accessibility without removing the cooktop.
- Provide a cutout in the right rear corner of the cutout enclosure for gas inlet, power cord clearance, and visibility of the rating label.
IMPORTANT: To avoid damage, check with your builder or cabinet supplier regarding material suitability to prevent discoloration or damage.
Mobile Home Installation Requirements
Installation must conform to the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standard, Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 (or applicable local codes). In Canada, conform to CAN/CSA-Z240.1 or local codes.
Cabinet Dimensions
IMPORTANT: If installing a range hood or microwave hood combination, follow their specific installation instructions for clearances above the cooktop.

F | 19 15/16" (50.3 cm) | N/A |
G | 18" (45.7 cm) minimum | Clearance from upper cabinet to countertop within minimum horizontal clearances to cooktop. |
H | Locate within 24" (61 cm) of right rear corner | Grounded outlet location. |
I | 28 3/4" (73.4 cm) for 30" models; 35 5/16" (89.4 cm) for 36" models | N/A |
J | Minimum distance to side combustible surfaces | For 30" models: 12 3/4" (32.4 cm) left/right. Total distance: 78 1/4" (199.1 cm). For 36" models: 12 3/4" (32.7 cm) left/right. Total distance: 84 3/4" (215.6 cm). |

Diagrams illustrating cabinet cutouts and clearances are provided.
Note: Some installations may require notching base cabinet side walls. To avoid this, use a wider base cabinet. If a drawer is present, ensure 4" (10.2 cm) clearance from countertop to drawer top to avoid interference with the regulator. Drawer depth may need shortening.
Electrical Requirements
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter or extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
IMPORTANT: The cooktop must be electrically grounded according to local codes or the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1.
- Requires a 120V, 60Hz, AC only, 15A fused electrical circuit. A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended. A separate circuit for the cooktop is recommended.
- The electronic ignition system requires proper grounding and polarity. Verify the outlet provides 120V and is correctly grounded.
