Q-SYS NV-32-H (Core Capable)
Native Network Video Endpoint for Q-SYS
Overview
The NV-32-H (Core Capable) is a versatile, software-configurable video endpoint for Q-SYS, offering two distinct operating modes to suit various application needs.
Core Mode
In Core Mode, the NV-32-H functions as a consolidated Q-SYS AV processor, control engine, and local HDMI video switcher. This mode is ideal for video collaboration in small to medium-sized meeting rooms and classrooms.
Standard Features (Core Mode)
Fully integrated Q-SYS Core processor
Onboard 3 x 2 HDMI video switcher
64 x 32 network audio channels
Supports up to 32 x 32 Software-based Dante channels (none included)
8x AEC channels
Supports up to three (3) Q-SYS NM-T1 tabletop microphones
1 x VoIP softphone instance
Audio I/O via HDMI, USB and 3.5 mm
Local decoding of Q-SYS Mediacast streams
Core Mode Streaming License Feature
The Q-SYS NV-32-H Core Mode Video Streaming license enhances the device's capabilities, allowing it to simultaneously perform Core processing, network video encoding, and decoding. This streamlines installations and reduces product and installation costs.
Peripheral Mode
Peripheral Mode provides native HDMI and audio distribution without the need for additional control processors, bridges, or complex programming. Like all Q-SYS devices, the NV-32-H (Core Capable) offers native integration and control, simplifying setup, configuration, and firmware management, and eliminating the need for advanced programming knowledge.
Features (Peripheral Mode)
High-quality, low-latency video streaming up to 4K60 4:4:4 over a standard gigabit network.
Q-SYS Shift™ adaptive video compression codec adjusts network bandwidth based on content, offering significant savings without compromising video quality.
Configurable as an encoder or decoder, simplifying ordering and specification.
Local output switching for selecting video sources when used as a decoder.
Network Test feature in Q-SYS Designer Software to verify network configuration.
Shared Benefits
Native Integration and Control: Seamless integration with other Q-SYS products, simplifying setup and management.
Q-SYS AV Bridging: Connect devices via USB for integrated Q-SYS audio and camera feeds, enabling remote meetings.
Q-SYS Audio Integration: Route audio from video sources natively or use HDMI outputs as Q-LAN audio destinations. Onboard analog audio output for direct connection to non-networked amplifiers or speakers.
USB HID Routing over IP: Route USB HID devices (keyboard, mouse, touchscreen) over the network, reducing cabling and equipment needs.
Connectors
USB Type A: Connect USB audio peripherals or USB HID devices; route signals over Q-SYS network.
USB Type B: Connect devices via USB to integrate Q-SYS audio and camera feeds, emulating webcam and audio drivers.
Analog audio input: 3.5 mm TRS for PC-level audio input.
Analog audio output: 3.5 mm TRS for Q-SYS non-networked amplifiers, external speakers, or audio recorders.
LAN A: Gigabit LAN connection with PoE++ (802.3bt Type 4) capability.
LAN B: Redundant connection for audio and control traffic (Core Mode only).
Power input: 2-pin Euroblock terminal for 48 V DC, 1.5 A power supply.
RS-232: 3-pin Euroblock terminal for Q-SYS Control extension.
GPIO: Euroblock terminal for Q-SYS Control extension.
Software-Configurable I/O Configurations
When set as an encoder:
Encode one 4K60 HDMI video stream or up to three 1080p HDMI video streams.
Courtesy monitor: Use HDMI Out 1 to display locally connected HDMI sources up to 4K60.
When set as a decoder:
Decode one 4K60 network stream or up to two simultaneous 1080p60 streams for display up to 4K60.
Local source switching: Toggle between network streams or locally connected HDMI sources.
