The Resonate RFID Reader Management 2.0.0 installation package can be used to perform a fresh installation of the Resonate software. Detailed step-by-step installation instructions are provided in the Resonate RFID Reader Management Installation Guide.

- Completely redesigned architecture from the earlier (1.0.x) product, providing more reliable multi-site and cloud operation
- On-reader management agent app for improved network operation and cloud reliability
- Includes installation options for deploying a single-node or multiple-node system
- Supported for operation on Ubuntu Linux versions 22.04 and 24.04
- Supports FX9600 and ATR7000 readers
- Supports user authentication and authorization locally or via customer single-sign-on (SSO)
- Ability to update reader firmware and reader CA certificates
- Supports managing readers individually or in bulk (multi-reader actions), with up to 100 readers per action
- Ability to configure readers and use configuration templates
- Ability to configure read data transmission from readers directly to business applications via WebSocket (server) endpoint
- Supports continuous monitoring of reader health, alerting, improved logging and log access, and alert generation via webhook or email
- NOTE: Resonate does not use ZIoTC to communicate with readers, so not all ZIoTC commands are supported
Bug Fixes
- Not applicable in the first release of this new product
Known (2.0.0) Issues
- Support for additional Zebra reader models will be added in quarterly releases according to the priority roadmap
- Third-party readers are not yet supported
- Additional read data connectors are not yet supported
- Scheduling of multiple read modes is not yet supported
- Pre-built Simple, Conveyor, Portal, and Inventory read modes are not yet supported; however, the user-defined/custom mode currently allows you to design any required read mode
- Customer-built DA apps are not yet supported
- GPIO is not yet supported
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux is not yet supported
- Due to the switch to Kubernetes and other advanced components, some required third-party capabilities can no longer be pre-packaged equally across all supported Linux variants in offline installers. Users might need to handle specific dependencies for their Linux distribution.
- A separate alerts management UI screen is not yet supported. Alerts are available via email or webhook to your existing case management system
- A separate Grafana dashboard is not yet supported
